This is my first challenge to become an apprentise.(It's a long story)

Ashwing nuzzled her kits-a black she-kit and a gray tom- It was the middle of leafbare and the kits were shivering but something wasn't right, she looked down to find a strange mucus like substance coming out of The gray tom's mouth.

"Someone get Baublestorm something's wrong with Galekit." Said Ashwing looking frantically for signs of health on the gray tom.

"I'll go get her." Said Bramblewing mother of Spottedkit,

It was a few minutes later when Bramblewing came back.

"What's wrong with him?" asked Ashwing as Galekit coughed up more mucus.

"I've never seen this before," Said Baublestorm as she tried to get Galekit to open his mouth, "This isn't right." Baublestorm watched as Galekit coughed up a lot of blood and then went limp.

"My kit." Said Ashwing look at the small body of her only son.

"I'm sorry." Said Baublestorm lowering her head.

"Why didn't you do anything." Said Ashwing eyes going wide.

"Because I didn't know how." Said Baublestorm looking up.

"You could have tried." Said Ashwing as Baublestorm left the nursery.

(Apprentise cerimony)

Nightkit stood in front if Redrock and looked up at Foxstar her reddish pelt glowing in thr sunlight.

"Cat's of foxclan, I now call a clan meeting," Said Foxstar looking out towards her clan, "I am here to announce a new apprentice, Nightkit has reached the age of six moons and it is time for her to become a apprentice, Nightkit from this day foreward until you earn your warrior name you shall be known as Nightpaw, your mentor will be Horsewing."

"Nightpaw, Nightpaw!" Shouted the clans but her mum Ashwing turned her head and whispered to herself, "Galekit would have been a warrior already."

"Why do you always compare her to Galekit?" Asked Sunclaw Ashwings mate, "You have to move on."

"But she'll never be as good as Galekit, she was the weakest of the litter remember." Said Ashwing as Nightpaw went off to do apprentice duties.

(final assement)

Nightpaw ran after the rabbit, she knew Horsewing was watching her and wanted to pass her final assesment, she lifted her nose to the air and then her mum walking towards her from the undergrowth.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Nightpaw glaring at Ashwing, "I thought you hated me because I wasn't Galekit."

"I'm sorry."

"What?"

"I'm sorry, I've been watching you train, you're good," Said Ashwing Trying to smile, "I should never have compared you to Galekit, I guess I just miss him."

"Oh," Said Nightpaw sitting down, "But it still didn't give you right."

"I know, please forgive me." said Ashwing beginning to plead.

"Okay, but can you let me finish my assessment please." Said Nightpaw as Ashwing nodded her head and ran off.

(Warrior name)

"I Foxstar, leader of Foxstar call apon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice, she has trained hard and I codem her as a warrior in her turn," Said Foxstar looking down at Nightpaw who was figeding a little, "Nightpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your life?"

"I do."

"Then by the power of Starclan, I give you your warrior name, Nightpaw from this moment on you will be known as Nightgale, in remembrance of your brother, Starclan honors your bravery and intelligiance and welcome you as a warrior of Foxclan."

"Nightgale, Nightgale!" Shouted the clan and Nightgale beamed with pride.

Well that stunk, but it had to be under a thousand word so I did my best. (Actually I didn't but you knw what I mean.
