It was the 4th of July she went missing.

It was the next morning before her parents realised as they were celebrating Independence Day and may have had some alcoholic drinks before. Her mother started shouting for her daughter to come down for breakfast but no noise replied to let her know she was awake.

She hurries from the kitchen and up the stairs so she can get back before she burns the pancakes, her daughters favourite breakfast. She opens the entrance to her child's bedroom and the 2 things she notices are her daughter isn't in site also the window has been smashed open with glass sprayed across the floor.

Immediately she runs down the hall to the phone. Picks it up and calls her husband, the sheriff, it starts to ring and that annoying bring...bring... Noise starts but stops as soon as it started. 'Beacon County Sheriff Station how may I help you?' And standing there in shock with tears running down her face all she could reply was 'Get sheriff please' in-between sniffles. 'Sheriff Stilinksi here what can I do for you?' she replied 'John, she's gone I can't find her, help' as she continued to sob 'what Claudia, I coming home now' and with that he hung up.

She was left surrounded by the dull buzz of the telephone. She collapsed and sat there until her husband arrived, they lived only about 10 minutes from the station but she feel like she had been there for years, time was going that painfully slow. Suddenly she heard car tyres approaching the house, seconds later a man with his uniform and shiny star badge on his chest, it was the sheriff, her husband.

He saw her collapsed sobbing form and promptly ran to her 'Claudia what happened, where is she?' He questioned 'I don't know her room'. She stood up and started to lead him there up the stairs and to their daughters room. Now he saw what she had seen earlier, the empty bed and window that was smashed leaving shattered pieces of glass covering the carpet.

That was the start of them, the kidnappings and the searches.
