The Despairing Truth
Michiru watched the rise and fall of Haruka's chest. She seemed to be sleeping soundly dispite their earlier battle. Michiru wanted to be angry with Haruka, 'How could you be so stupid, doing something like that? You just walked right in to it? And for what?' Michiru was a little angry with the blonde, if she was honest with herself, she was livid, but by morning that would be gone. Once more replaced by the guilt she felt. Michiru saw their relationship for what is was, a guilt riddled fuckfest of pain. It didn't appear that way on the outside, but that's what it was. She felt guilty for awakening Haruka as Uranus. She felt guilty for taking Haruka's dreams. She felt guilty for putting this on Haruka. What made it worse was that no matter what she did, no matter what ways she was there for Haruka, the woman didn't see her and that killed a piece of Michiru. She would never show it, she'd hide behind that smile. She knew that others thought of her as uppity and conceited, but in reality, she was hiding everything.
Haruka shifted in her sleep, unsettled. Her lips started moving, soft mumblings. Michiru watched those lips, leaning closer to hear what the blonde was saying."Usagi...Sailor Moon...mmm no" Haruka's brows frowed, her face twisting. Michiru sat back, her face falling. She wanted to hate their Princess in that moment. 'Why can't you see me? I am right here always by your side, always... and it's always her, why is she all you think about? I know she's our princess... but when will you finally see me?' Michiru was the one who watched Haruka sleep every night, She was the one who was always there, She was the one who gave everything for Haruka and continued to give everything. Suddenly Michiru felt herself breaking, hot tear's came to her eyes, she turned into the pillows. Burying her face to muffle the sound of her short intake of breath that lead to a trembling sob. Her hands clentched around the pillow 'Damn you... Damn you Haruka...' Michiru wanted to scream, but she couldn't wake the sleeping woman next to her. She let hot tear's roll down her face, seeping into the fabric of the pillowcase. She took deep breaths trying to control her break. Soon she felt the pull of exhaustion on her mind, she trembled as soft sobs still wracked her body, she couldn't fight it anymore and it didn't matter as sleep took her in the early morning hours.
