Here's a little RoseScorpius drabble. :3 I hope you like it –Enjoy!
I dipped my quill in the bottle of ink sitting before me. An hour had passed, yet I was still stuck on this stupid essay Professor Longbottom had assigned the class. I don't give a hoot about the bleeding Mandrakes! I just want to be in the Slytherin Common Room with my friends, lounging around and laughing at those Hufflepuff idiots.
Crossing out yet another mistake I had made, I heaved a great sigh as I lay down my quill. I folded my arms on the table, resting my head on them. Then, a familiar voice made my head pop right back up.
"Yes, Madam Norris, I'll return the book soon! I just love it so much! I promise, I'll give it back to the library as soon as I finish my research!"
It was the little bookworm Rose Weasley. I watched as she made her way over to the bookshelf, took out a pile of thick, dusty books, and settled down on the table just opposite from mine.
The nerd, I sneered in my mind, who actually enjoys studying. I had heard from my father that her mother had been the brightest witch in his year, but that she had been a typical, nosey, irritating, goody-two-shoes Mudblood.
I had promised my father that I would never fall for this Weasley girl, but there was something about her that I found strangely attractive. Maybe it was the fact that her coppery hair framed her face beautifully, or the fact that her eyes would sparkle every time she smiled…
No! I mentally slapped myself. You're falling for her! Don't! She's a nerd, Scorpius! She's not your type…
I picked up my quill. Better continue my essay, I thought weakly to myself.
However, instead of writing, I sub-consciously began sketching Rose Weasley's face. Every little detail I took to notice, from her blue-grey eyes to every strand of hair and freckle.
When the drawing was finished, I stared at it in horror. I was falling for her.
I gazed at Rose as she scribbled frantically on her piece of parchment, oblivious to the fact that I was watching her. My sketching didn't do her any justice - she was much, much more beautiful.
To my surprise and anger, a dark haired boy went up to her. They started talking very animatedly and laughing-The boy was joking and teasing her, while she was grinning from ear to ear, happier than I ever saw her before. A tsunami of jealously crashed onto me.
I crumpled up the sketching into a ball, and tossed it into the bin.
XD I hope you guys aren't too mad at me for the not-so-amazing ending :3 Please review, constructive criticism welcome!
Thanks for reading, and let me know if there are any other drabbles you want me to write :D
