A Daughter's Curse – Chapter 1
"Narumi-sensei, is it true what you said yesterday? Is there really going to be a new student joining the high school branch?" An auburn haired girl asked inquisitively.
"Why would I lie about something like that Mikan" Naru replied joyfully.
They hadn't had a new student in a while so everyone was getting excited. Murmurs could be heard throughout class B. 'I wonder what sort of Alice she has?' some questioned while a certain auburn haired girl thought to herself 'I hope me and her can become good friends'
Meanwhile, at the high school branch, the sensei was just introducing the said new student. "Now class, this is Rin Tanaka, the new student I told you all about"
At the front of the classroom, a rather tall girl stood staring blankly at the wall at the back. Her hair was smooth and black. Not quite reaching down to her shoulders. Her eyes were emerald green and shining with no visible emotion. A pendant hung from around her neck with the symbol of yin and yang being held up my two entwined dragons.
"What's her Alice?" someone piped up but stopped as her cold glare hit him through his chest.
"If you want to know my Alice, then I suggest you don't bother me, and then I may consider showing you…." The new girl stated boldly with a voice that may have been warm if it weren't for her icy stare.
She took the unoccupied seat at the back and rested her head in her palm, staring out of the window.
"Now then, I have business to attend to so for today it will be self study" Sensei smiled as he walked through the door and left his students bewildered at the new girl.
"Hey, are you single?" The boy sitting on her right questioned.
She stayed silent but gave a small nod indicating a 'yes I'm single'.
RING…RING…RING!
The bell rang throughout the school and the students made their way back to their dorms. All except one.
Mikan was walking along with a raven haired boy whose eyes were the colour of flames.
"Ne, Natsume. What do you think the new student is like?" She questioned with a hint of curiosity in her voice.
"Who knows….." Natsume replied yawning "We should get back soon; it looks like it's going to rain"
She nodded, agreeing with him as she looked up at the sky.
Suddenly Natsume held out his arm in front of her, indicating for her to stop.
"Who's there….." he stated to the shadows.
A figure emerged from behind a nearby tree. It had short hair and an icy stare. Rin stood there staring at the two elementary students.
"Ah, are you the new student in the high school branch" Mikan smiled, excitement filled her and curiosity was creeping into her thoughts.
Rin answered with a nod and emerged fully from behind the tree. Moonlight shone on her from behind and made her look almost evil.
Then, without warning she ran off into the night leaving them standing there.
"Mikan, she reminds me of him…" Natsume murmured to her
"You mean….."
"Yeah, she reminds me of Persona"
