The Fae—ry Tale
Summary : Mina Grimm is officially screwed, not that she wasn't before. She has to go back to the past, but what she doesn't know is that she will be stuck there until she has finished her job, which includes falling in love with the enemy (which she suspects she already has), and also stop an assassin from killing the Prince. Yeah, she was in big trouble. Eh, spoilers for Forever (Book 5).
Chapter One
Author's Note : I just finished AUFT (my own short form), and IT WAS BRILLIANT! So I got this little idea, aaaaaaaaannnd here we are. I think I'll be distracted from the story Capture My Heart, so…Capture My Heart will be restarted on holidays.
I was just so sad when Jared—I mean…never mind. I'm not putting spoilers here. Ignore what I typed there just now.
So let me elaborate : In this story, everyone will be Fae or human or Siren or whatnot, just as they were in the original. But it will follow the story where Teague chooses his wife, and it will be in form of the Selection. So basically I'm loosely following the Selection's plotline, adding my little twist and details, alright? And the ending is totally different, because my story's main focus is the Selection, not the war.
So here we go…it might appear a bit…confusing.
P.S. Mina knows that she is wearing a glamour, and wants to keep the glamour on.
Mina PoV
The dense forest seemed to press into her until she couldn't breathe, couldn't move. The darkness was suffocating, and she could see gleams of amber yellow eyes as they flashed at her menacingly, threatening to devour her.
Mina Grimm woke up with a gasp as she fumbled around in her soft blanket made of pink wool. The dream had been so real, so vivid, leaving her wondering what had just happened as she got dressed. Today was the day she had to travel back into the past with her Cinderella glass slippers, which had yet to arrive.
The day blurred by, and soon Mina found herself preparing for the masquerade ball. Mrs. Wong—Mei—came in, smiling as she unwrapped the bundle in her arms to reveal a stunning white silk dress. "You are one lucky girl, Mina. This is made of the rarest spiders' silk, moon…" Mina didn't pay attention to her Godmother, rather focusing on an interesting spot on her blank walls.
Mei helped her slip into the beautiful dress, and took a deep breath before slipping into the dainty glass slippers made of glass and silver mirror. On a closer look, Mina found some tiny diamonds that were inside an hour glass, signalling her time in the past. Gulping down her nerves the best she could, she pasted on a smile, let Mei apply makeup on her pale face, and fluff up her hair. In no time at all, she was ready.
Taking another breath to steady herself, she straightened up, and walked out of her room.
This is just a beginning, to get things rolling along. Now they are rolling smoothly. Expect the next chapter around a week.
