Sapphire blue eyes gazed out the window at the expansive world below, though the thoughts were far adrift from the spectacular sight. How many times had he done this very thing, gazing into the great beyond without really seeing what was out there? Pulling himself from his thoughts, he turned to consider the familiar stars, a small smile tugging at his lips. At least those constant friends were still with him, which was a lot more than he could say for the rest of those he had grown up with.

Shaking his head, he banished those thoughts before they could form. There was no use dredging up the past, not when there was only pain, sorrow and loss to be had from the memories. Instead, the warrior turned to consider the stewardess as she made her way down the line.

For her part, the stewardess was doing a little consideration of her own. The man before her was whipcord taut, with long raven hair pulled into a long ponytail that drifted over his shoulders and wrapped around his neck like a scarf. She'd never seen the like. Trailing her eyes over the feast of a man, she took in his dress, so unlike those surrounding him. Shimmering cloth in a vibrant red… was that silk? And the silver embroidered dragons crawling across his chest, wrapping over one shoulder to peek over the other, eyes of a similar sapphire hue matching the gaze of the man.

He couldn't have been more than in his mid to late twenties, yet those eyes spoke of a hidden depth that she felt she could drown happily within. Leaning in, making sure she was displaying ample talent, she asked him if there was anything she could help with. His answering smile and denial set her heart aflutter even as it dashed her hopes. However, she made sure to caress his arm as she promised that, should he need anything, anything at all, he should let her know.

Ranma Saotome shook his head in resigned amusement. No offense to the girl, as she was quite good looking. Had things been different, had his heart not been set on another, even after all this time, then maybe he would have allowed himself to indulge. As it were… well, enough of that. Their transport was finally slowing down as they approached their destination.

"Now arriving, Earth Central Hub, with connections to destinations across the planet. Thank you for choosing Daystar Intergalactic, we hope you've enjoyed your trip."
