I put my hand to my chest, in an attempt to lessen the burning sensation that was forming. "What?" I whispered, hoping that I had just misheard him. He sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose like he was annoyed with me. "I. Don't. Want. You." He said each word slowly, pausing between each word as if he were talking to an incompetent child. I opened my mouth to speak, but no sound came out. I could feel the moisture forming in my eyes, and the warm wetness on my cheeks as the tears fell. I continued to open and close my mouth, willing the words to leave my throat, but they never did. I felt my feet moving by themselves, and it took a second for me to realize I was moving backwards, away from him. He narrowed his eyes further as he saw the horror in my eyes. "G- Get away from me!" I whisper yelled, my voice sounding foreign to me. "I should walk you back home." He said quietly, like he was ashamed. He should be. "No." My came out voice surprisingly firm. "Just go." I said, my voice breaking at the end. He took an unnecessary breath and sighed. In the blink of an eye, he was in front of me. "Just, promise me you won't do anything reckless?" I could hear the question in his voice, but he didn't stick around to find out my answer. He gave me a quick kiss on my forehead, and then he was gone. But it was okay. It's not like I wasn't used to being let down by people who were supposed to care about me. I felt a dull pain as my back finally collided with a tree. I slowly slid to the ground, a slight stinging sensation in my back as the bark cut through the thin material of my tank top. It really hit me then. Edward was gone.

Hey guys, after two years I'm back. To all my previous readers, I'm sorry for ghosting and I'll try to not do it again. I had been going through a lot of personal issues for a while, and they got really bad about two years ago, but I'm taking proper actions to resolve them and I'm back writing again. I hope you all enjoy! - Crazyshine
