Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday" from Season 5, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
One summer day, Sir Topham Hatt arranged with Thomas the tank engine, to take his wife and grandchildren to the seaside. The sun shone, and everywhere looked splendid.
But Lady Hatt was feeling hot and tired. She took her troubles out on Annie and Clarabel.
"Those coaches are old and uncomfortable! Why don't you use them as beach huts instead!"
Thomas was very cross.
"Don't let Annie and Clarabel become beach huts!"
"Of course not!" replied his driver. "But I can say this, they need to be cleaned up!"
The next day, Sir Topham Hatt used Percy to take his family to Harold's airfield. They were just about to board Harold when trouble occurred! Tiger-Moth, the bio-plane flew so low, that he knocked Sir Topham Hatt' top hat off, and forced him to duck.
"What was that!" exclaimed Sir Topham Hatt.
"Tiger-Moth. He fly's way too low." said Harold.
Sir Topham Hatt was very annoyed
"So I can see! Please take us up Harold, before more trouble occurs!"
A few days later, Harold landed at their holiday home.
But when they arrived, there was bad news.
"Tiger-Moth has gone missing!" said the pilot. "Do you wish to join in the rescue mission?"
"I think I should." said Sir Topham Hatt.
They flew for hours, but there was no sign of Tiger-Moth.
But then, they spotted him.
"There he is!" called Sir Topham Hatt. "He's in that haystack!"
When they landed, Sir Topham Hatt spoke severely to Tiger-Moth's pilot.
"You were flying WAY too dangerously! I am speaking to your controller, and you will be grounded until further notice!"
"Yes sir!" yelled the pilot.
"Now if you excuse me, I shall be returning to my holiday!"
Later, Sir Topham Hatt arranged for Toby and Henrietta to take them somewhere special, the river.
"What a lovely boat!" exclaimed the children.
"It's my special treat!"
Sir Topham Hatt took the helm with his wife beside him.
"It's so nice to be away from the railway." he said to his wife.
But life on the river, is far different than on the rails.
Then, there was trouble again. The family was enjoying themselves so much, that they forgot to watch where they were going and became stuck in mud!
"Bother!" said Sir Topham Hatt. "We're stuck!"
And they were!
Other boats soon arrived to help pull them out of the mud, but it was no use!
Percy saw what was going on and stopped.
"Is there anything we can do to help?" asked Percy' driver.
"Yes indeed!"
Soon, the boat was pulled out of the mud, and they set away.
"Isn't this wonderful my dear?" said Sir Topham Hatt.
"Oh yes it is!" replied his wife.
Soon they arrived at a small station. Thomas was waiting with Annie and Clarabel, looking cleaner than ever, inside and out.
"My!" exclaimed his wife, "what splendid coaches! So much suitable than those old beach huts on wheels!"
Nobody said a word.
But that evening, Annie and Clarabel spoke to Thomas.
"It's very nice to get complements, but no matter what we look like, we will always be useful, won't we Thomas?"
"Of course!" replied Thomas.
