Disclaimer: I don't own Alien or infamous

This takes place in Empire City about mid-game. (It really doesn't matter just wanted to mention it)

Cole's POV

Damn it what the hell is this thing. This monster smash's through the quarantine and kills anything in its path. Now Maya wants me to stop it. Can't she send soldiers or something like that? I'm perched about twenty-five feet above it. I count twenty injured, fifteen dead. I don't need this right now I've got the reapers and dustmen to worry about. Their more monsters than I can handle. Shit it's about to get Zeke! I zap it and it looks up at me. It looks like it didn't even feel it. I plan to stay above it and take it down from far away but then it starts running up the freakin' wall. This thing is horrific it looks like it could kill everyone I know. Then I see it, the tail is long and pointed it looks like something out of a horror movie, it has sharp pointed blade at the end, that scrapes along the wall as it comes up leaving a trail of indentation as it goes. I throw a shock grenade but in my hast it hits the ledge. I run to get away but the alien comes up just as it explodes. I feel like a train hit me, I'm covered in blood mostly coming out of my left arm. I look to the side and see the tip of the tail it looks like a dangerous weapon. Suddenly I feel the monster push me to the ground. Then I see the most horrific thing I have ever seen. It opens it mouth and a second mouth comes out I can't describe it but it is horrifying. Its blood got poured over the roof and burned all the way through, its blood is as strong as acid. Suddenly the roof breaks and we both fall down I can't move. Then I see Trish come in she's trying to save me but she didn't now the monster was still there. I want to zap the monster but I can't I'm out of power. The monster plunges its claws into Trish's chest. Suddenly I have a burst of energy probably from the rage I feel. I grab the tail end, run up to the monster and slide it across its chest over and over again blood is burning everything and the final blow that kills the monster slams across my face. Now I have a permanent scar running diagonally across my face.

Whenever I touch that scar or look at myself in the mirror I don't feel upset. It reminds me why I help people. It reminds me what kind of monsters this city has to face everyday. I know now that my life isn't as hard as I thought it was. But it always makes me think, if that was just a taste of what lies beyond the quarantine, what's it like for the rest of the world?
