"No shirts for Sam! No shirts for Sam!"
"What the hell are you doing!?"
Sam though he'd grown accustomed to weird in his life. He was dating (trickster) (pagan) archangel after all. But just when he thought nothing could surprise him Gabriel would go and do something crazy even for him. ("Unpredictable is in the job description Samzilla! I am still the trickster!")
Dean had often called Gabriel a time bomb. He hated Sam's choice in who he wanted to be with. No question about it. No one had been more surprised at the relationship than Sam however.
Sam, the normal one. Apparently stability was out of the question and somehow he didn't care because stability was boring. Stability came without Gabriel's knowing smirk, without visiting ancient civilizations on the week end, and random dates to Europe. It would be an existence without coming home to over fifty dogs in their living room or walking through the front door and into candy land or even wipe out.
So yeah, sam thought he'd seen everything. This was even weird for him though.
Gabriel was standing there with an expression Sam had learned to fear. The fire behind him making the small man seem luminous. Inhuman golden eyes danced with mischief, showing Sam a glimpse of Loki. He could've stared at Gabriel all day but the pile of shirts burning was pretty damn distracting.
He stepped closer the the perfect bonfire that would look more natural in front of a cabin instead of the hotel like mansion Gabriel had mojoed up for them to live in. He began to notice that most of the clothes were plaid. He wasn't sure he wanted to even know anymore but upon further inspection he spotted a baggy ACDC shirt that he sometimes slept in.
"Those are my shirts.", he stated. Gabriel walked over next to him looking way too pleased and wrapped an arm around sam's waist. "I knew you were the smart one!"
Sam shoved his boyfriend away. "Gabriel what the hell?!", he demanded as he pointed an accusing finger at the dancing flames that were eating his clothes.
Gabriel smirked and shrugged. "They were blocking my view. Anyway, It's a metaphor."
"A metaphor?"
"For our relationship. I take the clothes off of you."
Sam could feel his face heating up and it wasn't from the fire. "You owe me more clothes. Appropriate clothes he added as an after thought.
Gabriel laughed and nodded. "Fine. Latter. But for now." He walked over to Sam and tugged on his shirt sleeve. "It looks like I missed one. I can't leave a job half done."
Yes Sam's life was insane and so far into weird he couldn't even see normal in the distance like he had before. Was it bad that he didn't care? Maybe. But at least his life was never boring.
