Prologue
'Come on Elena, you have to do it!' Caroline yelled at her. 'If you don't you'll die, and Jeremy would be all alone! Please, do it for him' She wasn't paying that much attention to what Caroline, her best friend for life, she wouldn't do it. Even for Jeremy. 'No,' she said. But then something happened. A guy fell from his skateboard and it his knee. Blood streamed out of the wound and Elena couldn't think of anything else than the smell. She heard Caroline give a sigh and saw her walking to the guy. They talked a bit and then walked to Elena. 'Are you coming or not?' she asked. Elena stood up and walked with them to an ally. 'Are you okay?' she asked the boy in front of her. He was quite handsome, he had blonde hair and blue eyes, an ice-blue kind that reminded her of Damon's eyes, but they were much prettier. She kneeled and got a drop of blood on her middle finger. She didn't believe she was doing this, but she putted the finger in her mouth. The blood was sweet, and it tasted good. She wanted more. She looked up and saw that Caroline was disappeared. She thanked her for already giving her a Lapis necklace. She felt her teeth grow and sunk them into the boy's neck. She drank and drank until he was dead. Then she made the decision. She was leaving.
