I sit and look out by the window side;
I wonder just how lovely the day could be
if it weren't raining tears right now;
I hear the people screaming,
They're complaining;
They do not complain to me,
But my boss does;
I'm suddenly lost in this cold forbidden world,
So help me dear God that I curse myself a million times;
I was there,
I'm old enough to know the term war;
No one has to cover my ears to hear it,
Because I know I am the cause of it;
Oh Statue of Liberty how lovely is your soul,
Until the darkness has tainted you face;
Tainted with black paint of sorrows and depression,
And a hint of crime and crude beings;
I wish I could save you,
I really do;
Yet sadly, I am in no position to,
For I too am sick of the black disease;
The disease that never goes away,
Because it lies in my nightmares
And erupts when I am awake;
Oh dear country,
How I love you so;
Though you may not hear me,
I am crying too;
Because of your burnt money,
Your people in that country;
Fighting for your freedom,
Which you think no longer exists;
Yet you do not understand that laws are essential,
Because you must have them to keep order;
Yet you do not wish to obey,
While you toy and toil with everything in your path;
Then begin to blame others along your way,
When they really do not deserve it;
Do you know why I wonder,
I begin to ponder this now;
Do I have the right to be angry
Frustrated
Mad
With malignant fantasies of death;
I see it everyday my country,
Once so rich and beautiful;
Now you are all killing each other,
Like animals of cannibalistic nature;
Do you not understand,
The pain and the suffering of watching everything happen;
And to watch people get their lives taken away,
Their innocence as well;
Do not answer,
Because in reality you do not see it;
You are all too busy taking technology to your advantage,
While other suffer right in front of your faces;
Welcome to the great depression,
Have a nice day.
