So I was watching "Power trip" from season 7..i think.. anyway after the scene with Calleigh in the elevator with Reggie, I wondered what would happen if she told Eric. This is my take! It takes place right were the show cut to commercial. =] PLEASE REVIEW!!!

"You getting off?" he asked, surprised when she remained in the elevator.

"No, I forgot something in lab," She answered quickly.

"Ask yourself something detective," he began, coming to stop the elevator from closing. "How would you feel if you had to stare a murder in the eye and let him walk away," he continued, his voice reminding Calleigh of the argument she and Eric had had only moments before. "You try getting to sleep after knowing something like that," He concluded, his voice hostile.

"I sleep just fine, how 'bout you?" She asked, emotionless, as the elevator doors slid shut. Punching the number to take her back to the lab, she tipped her head back, pushing a gust of air though her lips. Calleigh stepped off the elevator, almost running into Eric. When he reached a hand to steady her, she jumped a little.

"Cal, what's wrong?" he asked, she had been fine only a few minutes before.

"I think you might be right about Reggie," she told him, her voice low so no one else could hear.

"What happened?" he asked, concern filling his features. Calleigh turned, making her way into an empty lab before turning back to him. "I met him in the elevator," she started.

"What was he doing here?" Eric asked, taking in Calleigh's frazzled appearance.

"I'm not sure, he asked for information on Max Paulson," She told Eric, ringing her hands in front of her, her green eyes watching the people passing outside the glass walls. "He got agitated when I told him I couldn't discuss the case," She told him.

"What happened," he asked again, his face contorting in concern for her.

"He said that sometimes police work isn't clean," She stated. "When I told him I'd stick to the evidence he stopped the elevator, and got in my face about the killings," she told him. Pausing to swallow the lump in her throat.

"Did he touch you?" Eric asked, taking a step closer to her, resting his hand on her arm.

"No," She answered, "I un-holstered my gun, he backed off," She told him, resting her right hand on her side arm again. "It's what he said to me when we reached the garage though. He wanted to know how I would feel if I stared a murder in the eye and let him walk away, he asked how I would sleep at night,"

"You think he meant him?" Eric asked, still standing mere inches from her.

"I don't know, he was just edgy," she responded shaking her head. "I wouldn't have wanted to meet him on the street at night," Calleigh concluded. "It was just the feeling I got from him."

"Where is he now?" Eric asked.

"He got off in the garage, I told him I forgot something, but I think you could be right about him," she told him.

"We'll get him Cal," he promised. "But until we do, be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you." He told her, dipping his head to intensify his gaze into her eyes.

"Eric, I'm fine, but if he is the killer, we have to get them off the streets," Calleigh responded making a move to leave the lab, but Eric kept her within his grasp.

"I know you're fine Calleigh, just be careful, that's all I'm asking," he responded before releasing his gentle grasp on her arm. Calleigh reached up placing a gentle hand on his cheek and giving him a small smile before nodding in agreement. "Let's get him," Eric concluded before the two exited the lab together.
