"Daddy!" screamed the five year old toddler. "Look what I made today in school."

"Okay, let's see what my little princess made today," Troy said as he hoisted the little girl up onto his lap.

The little girl handed a drawing to her father. The picture had two stick figures. One was bigger than the other and they were both holding hands. The background seemed to look like the two people were at the park and there were big smiles on their faces.

"This is wonderful Michelle!" exclaimed her dad. Seeing his little girl always made Troy so happy! She had his bright blue eyes, his nose, and his love for basketball. Other than that she looked just like her mother. She had brown curly hair, and her mother's cheekbones. She even had her mother's cute smile and beautiful lips. Michelle was short like her mother too, and she had her mother's love for books and school. She was a very smart young girl. Basically, everything reminded Troy of Gabriella.

Troy and Gabriella got married after they finished College. Troy became a basketball teacher at east High. Gabriella became a kindergarten teacher at the school Michelle goes to now. Gabriella was expecting a baby and everything was fine. Actually everything was fine until Michelle turned 2 months old. Then Gabriella started acting funny and then one day she just left. No-one has heard from her since.

"See that's me, and that's you," Michelle said happily as she pointed to each stick figure. "We were supposed to draw our family at our favorite place to be together."

"That's great, princess. Was it for art class?" Troy asked.

"No, it was an assignment from Mrs. McNeill," said the little girl as she handed her dad a litter" "Read the note."

Troy looked at the note and started reading it.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Our kindergarten class is starting the unit on family. We will be learning about all kinds of families. Big ones, small one, and even families that might not live together. The children will be reading books, drawing, and even writing sentences too! Everyone is very excited!

At the end of the unit the children will make a family tree. I will host a little party for the children and their families. I understand some of you divorced or not living together. I know this is a big request, but I would also like everyone to com. So, please contact other important family members.

This is a very big deal to the children, and I'm sure they would love to share it with both of their parents, and all siblings. Also, please send a picture of each family member in an envelope. This will be for the family tree. Thank You.

Love,

Mrs. McNeill

"Daddy?" Michelle asked breaking Troy out of his trance. "Are we going to invite Mommy?"

Author Note: Okay so just another idea I had. Like the hookie sort of ending? I thought it was sort of good. Anyways review and tell me what you think!!
