This is a alternative ending to New Moon, when Bella is running to stop Edward from showing himself to sunlight in Volterra in chapter 20. What if she hadn't made it in time?
And I used Iris, because it just screams Edward adn Bella

He could hear the startled yells and screams as soon as he stepped out into the sunlight. Any moment the Volturi would react and cut him down.
"EDWARD!"
He knew the end was coming for him he could hear her so clearly. Soon he would be with her again. With her forever!
He could almost taste her lips against his and breathe in her unique scent

He frowned. She sounded so close and he hadn't even moved on yet.
"Fool!" a voice close to him hissed. He just grinned. The end was near.
"No, let go of me. Please no, EDWARD! NO! I'm live!" she was still screaming. He opened his eyes. And everything came into perspective all at once.

Demetri had his arms around her, holding her tightly but she still fought against him, to get to him. Tears streamed down her face, but relief also was there, she smiled at him, happy that he finally saw her.

Author's Note: So Sad, I cried when I wrote this. This fic actually formed from a dream i had with this song playing in my head while i dreamed it and i was so despressed when i woke up and thought it was real, which of it isn't, thank goodness.
