A/N- What would happen if Harry and Ron tried to teach Hermione to fly...?

"Come on Hermione!"

Ron and Harry pulled Hermione to the quidditch field.

"Um...I don't know. Could we do this tomorrow? I have a lot of work to do."

"Yeah, right."

Anyone could detect fear in her voice. Ron and Harry continued to pull her, as she made every feeble excuse she could think of. Hermione gave up with the excuses and began to pull away. But one girl against two boys is just not fair. They finally had her standing in the middle of the quidditch field. Harry handed her a broom.

"It's a school broom, Hermione. You won't zoom around like professional players."

She mounted the broom, then fear took over. Hermione closed her eyes and her grip on the broom handle looked like it could break it. She stayed that way for ten minutes.

"Are you going to go anywhere?"

"I don't like this idea."

"Well, we've got the broom, we've got you on the field, at least fly for a little bit of time."

She rose about five feet, her grip even tighter.

"Oh yeah, much better." The boys said sarcastically.

"You both better be quiet, cause I'm going to hurt you when I get down."

"Open your eyes."

She did. She began to shriek like a banshee. Harry and Ron covered her mouth.

"We're taller than the broom! Calm down!"

"How do I get down?!"

"Not going to tell you. You can move, you know."

"Get me down!"

"Hermione, you can't get hurt."

"But someone can see me! I-"

A snicker was heard. Draco, Crabbe and Goyle walked out onto the field.

"So mudblood, enjoying the scene? Are you even high enough to see over Weasley's head?"

"Quiet Draco. The last thing I need is your teasing."

"Maybe I should help."

He waved his wand and muttered a spell. Hermione began to fly around, looking pale and fear stricken.

"Stop it Malfoy!"

Ron snatched his wand away and Hermione stopped screaming as the broom stopped on the far side of the field. Malfoy scurried off, seeing as Ron was much taller than he was and had a murderous look on his face. Harry made sure he left. Hermione's eyes were closed and she was clutching the broom even closer to her. The boys walked over to her.

"Are you alright Hermione?"

"I am going to hurt him so badly one day. Get me down, I think I'm going to throw up."

They put her down. She covered her mouth and ran to the edge of the forest. Hermione walked back.

"Okay, let's try again." She said.

"Are you-"

"I'm sure!"

By the end of the day, she was flying eight feet. And her shrieks turned to squeaks. She was still deathly pale and looked extremely relieved when she flew down.

"That was good!"

"Uh huh."

"Tomorrow let's try to stay quiet while you fly and go higher."

She gave Harry a look.

"You've got me on a broom, you've made me fly over your heads, Malfoy made me vomit, and I faced my fear. Isn't that enough?"

"No."

She sighed and they walked back to the castle, Hermione dreading the next day.

A/N- I know that Hermione can fly (Book 1) but I thought it would be kind of funny if she didn't know how.
Disclaimer- I really have to remember to write these. None of these characters, quidditch or that stuff belong to me.
