Abby climbed into bed as Gibbs was holding the covers up for her. As she was about to lie down next to him for the night, she looked at him as smile. Grabbing the hem of Gibbs old T-shirt, she pulled it over her head and tossed it on the floor, revealing her beautiful upper body to him, leaving her wearing only tiny white panties.
Gibbs didn't say a word; he just looked at her as she lay down next to him. Abby cuddled even closer to him and leaned forward to place a kiss on his lips and before he had the time to realize she had placed a kiss on his lips it was over and she had turned herself, her back turned to him.
Abby didn't know why she loved the contact of his body heat coming through the T-shirt he was wearing, and she sighed as she felt his hand rest on her hips.
"Night, Gibbs." Abby said in some kind of a moan.
"Abby?"
"Yeah?"
She felt his lips caress her neck and a second later she heard him say something that made her heart swell up with joy.
"I love you." Gibbs told her.
At his words, the NCIS forensic scientist turned on the night lamp on her bedside table. Abby wasn't sure she had heard him right at first, because Gibbs wasn't exactly the man that would voice his feelings. He would sign them to her, or better yet, show her how much he did love her by making love to her, but never ever had he told her in audible words that he loved her since they had started dating each other.
Abby turned herself to face him as his hand was now resting on her other hip.
"What did you just say, because I think my ears are making me hear things.." She told him as she looked at him with huge green eyes.
Gibbs chuckled. "No, baby, your ears aren't making you hear things. I said what you heard"
She smiled at him, her heart overwhelmed by joy, and her eyes full of mischief. "Well would you mind repeating them, just to make sure I can memorize the sound of them correctly, please?" She challenged him, her voice full of tease.
Gibbs feigned indignation, then leaned forward, brushed his nose against hers softly before capturing her lips.
One small kiss tuned into another, and then was seeking entrance for the warmth of her welcoming mouth. Their tongue dueled languorously for a moment before they had to break the kiss in order to breathe.
It took them a few moments for their hearts to beat normally again, but as soon as they did, Gibbs repeated the words louder this time. "I love you."
Marines can voice their feelings after all... Abby thought looking at him in awe.
God she loved him so much.
