Summary – Naruto was an orphan after birth, due to his mother passing away from an unknown illness after the toll of giving birth, his father, nowhere to be found. He is adopted by a close family friend and grows up happily, with an overprotective and near obsessed sister, as he grows up, he wants to be one of the best trainers in the world. Naruto x Harem, Sabrina Choice.

Chapter 1 – Upbringing in Saffron City

Naruto Uzumaki was many things, he was an innocent boy that had a bright and mischievous personality, one so bright that everyone in the normally dull and repetitive city that was Saffron seemed to brighten up, albeit just a little, while his mischievous side made everyone stay on their toes, otherwise they might get a surprise of their lifetime with an embarrassing prank.

Saffron City was one of the largest cities in all the Kanto region, it was also famous across the other regions, with the Saffron City gym and the Silph Co. was in the city. While it may be large and largely populated, it also had a sort of... gloomy aroma to the city, with it seeming like it was shrouded in a permanent opaque purple mist, so Naruto coming to the town with his infinite energy and his bright personality really made the place seem happier and more colourful.

He was a rather short kid for his age, which normally meant that he was bullied early on in his short life, however, when his sister stepped in, he never saw those people again. Although, he could understand why. His sister was very, very creepy and scary. Not that he would say it out loud, he knew that would be a terrible mistake. Something that he learned from his adoptive father, 'Never make a woman mad, it is the scariest thing a man could ever face.' Just seeing his father's normally lightly tanned face turn that pale, nearly chalk white, made him believe every word of it.

Along with being rather short for his age, he had lightly tanned skin, something that he was born with, along with having bright, untamed blonde hair that looked golden in the sunlight, with its spikes going this way and that... it almost made him look like a mop to some people, along with a pair of magnificent cerulean blue eyes that could brighten up anyone's day.

The three whisker-like marks on each of his chubby cheeks made him look like a Vulpix, especially when he grinned, which was now dubbed by the population of Saffron City as his 'foxy' smile.

His clothing was a just as eye catching as his features, he wore a black shirt that looked one size too large for him with the image of a laughing Gengar on it, his pants were a greyish colour and had orange trimmings along the pockets and even around the bottom of his pant legs. He often walked around barefoot, much to the chargin of his adoptive family, especially his sister.

While he did have a family, it wasn't his birth family, something that was mentioned to him when his adoptive family thought it was the best time to tell him, so he wouldn't be living in a lie, they told him that his parents were unable to look after him.

Normally, when someone was told this, their world would crumble around them, but not Naruto. He took it on the chin and asked why, that was when he was told that his mother passed away shortly after giving birth, due to an illness that took her life when her body was in a bad shape after birth, and nothing was ever mentioned about his father and by the way his adoptive mother and father looked when his father was even mentioned, it made him take a wild guess in that they didn't like him.

As he was taking a small walk around the city which he currently lived in with his family, he saw many of the adults looking at him and giving him a small wave, something in which he returned with his own waves and even giving them his classical 'foxy' smile, with his eyes closed and a smile like that really did make him look like a Vulpix. It made some of the females giggle and mutter how cute he was, while the males just seemed to brighten up and have a smile wash over their face. His happiness was truly contagious.

He shook his head at that and continued to walk with a small skip in his step as he wandered around the town, looking for anything to do. Normally, he would spend his day in the family home or even the gym watching the battles between trainers and looking at the new Pokémon with awe and even surprise, however today was one of those days when his adopted sister was in school... learning whatever she did, she never really talked about it and always came home with a dark and scary aura about her.

His family, well... they were taking a small vacation before the Pokémon League year started up again, which was in a couple of months' time... so they would most likely come back in a couple of weeks.

His mother and father trusted him and Sabrina enough to look after themselves, while they were only 6 and 10 respectively, Sabrina had a gift with Psychic type Pokémon and even had a Pokémon of her own, Naruto... well, he didn't have a Pokémon yet, so he was left out in that department, not like he cared, the Pokémon that their parents left behind were also protective of him.

'Man... I wish something could happen.' Naruto thought to himself, a depressed aura washing over him, as an imaginary raincloud appeared above his head.

While it was true that he did have a nice family, while a little overprotective, he didn't have any friends. Well... that was not true, however, for some odd reason his friends just stopped hanging out with him, especially the females, they always looked at him in fear and ran away with tears in their eyes.

"You know, Professor Oak is making an announcement soon." A mature and feminine voice called out, breaking Naruto from his little down trodden mood, before he whipped his head up and tried to find who made that sound.

"Huh?" Naruto yelped out, when he noticed that someone was standing right beside him without him even knowing.

The mature lady, who looked to be in her late 30's giggled, with one of her sleeves covering her mouth, although Naruto pouted a little when he heard the giggling.

"Why did you say that?" Naruto said, looking up at the taller woman, placing a hand on his chest, where his heart was and took a deep breath, he really got spooked by this person.

The lady had black hair that was tied into a ponytail that was evenly placed behind her head, with a purplish-green scrunchie holding it in place. Her figure was slim and her skin tone was rather pale, however, not deathly pale, two of the most eye catching parts of her body, was definitely her black eyes, that shined in happiness and joy, while hidden behind her rectangular, black framed glasses, the next eye catching feature was the small birthmark that was on her right cheek.

She wore a standard scientist getup, with the pristine, long white lab coat that was buttoned up, only leaving the very top button undone just under the collar bone. Surprisingly enough, the large lab coat somehow didn't have a speck of grime nor crinkle in its entirety.

Her black tight jeans further enhancing her slim figure, the pants themselves were nothing special, however the interesting part of them were that they had some tears in them around the knees. Her black leather shoes that also acted as small heel shoes were on her feet and Naruto could see the small top of her white socks.

"Naww~ So cute." The lady cooed out, bringing her free hand and gently pinched Naruto's cheeks and pulled them, not so it was painful, just slightly uncomfortable. Sure, she may have heard stories about Naruto, as he was a very talked about person in the city, mainly due to his sheer positivity he exuded around him, making anyone and anything happy, even small Pokémon sometimes, but seeing him in person is completely different. The way the others described him did not completely justify him.

Naruto squirmed in the grip, trying his best to get out of the annoying hold that he was in. It was bad enough that his sister, Sabrina and his mother did this to him, but this one wasn't about the teasing, this lady, who he can safely say was a scientist or someone working in the technology department of the Silph Co. mainly due to its logo being present on her lab jacket.

He also got really annoyed when people touched his cheeks, they were sensitive, and even the slightest of touches could set him off.

Naruto thanked his lucky stars when the woman let go of his cheek and moved her hand away, before extending her hand out for him to take.

Naruto looked at the hand and then looked back up to the woman, with a curious expression plastered on his face. Some could swear they saw question marks floating above his head at that moment.

The woman sighed, before looking back at Naruto, "Well, do you want to go and listen to Professor Oak's announcement? I heard it was about a Summer Camp, surely you've heard the rumours about it?" She questioned, looking at him with a curious expression on her face, one that was more like a parent or sibling looking at their child or younger sibling rather than a scientist or tech nerd.

"Ah! I heard about that. I really want to go to that!" Naruto said with excitement leaking through his voice as he basically bounced on his feet.

While his attention span may be limited in some areas, with him really excelling in everything that is about Pokémon... unless it was at school, he absolutely hated Pokémon School. While he may have not liked the television that much, at one point in time, he was forced to watch a Professor Oak show with his family... and he was surprised when his attention was glued to everything that he said, and recently, in the past couple of weeks, he has been hearing rumours from the population of Saffron City about a rumour of a Pokémon Summer Camp.

If this was it, then surely, he could get more information about this, because he really wanted to go, not only for getting a new chance to meet new Pokémon and have a change in scenery, but also get a chance to make new friends!

"Well, are you going to follow me?" The female asked with a small giggle, as she watched Naruto quickly wipe the drool away from his mouth and look at her with his large blue eyes and nod his head rapidly, a vulpine-like smile etched onto his face.

"Please! I want to know more." He said rapidly, pulling a puppy dog eyed look at the female, who quickly succumbed to the adorableness of that technique, it was always a killer, both for males and females... although it worked more with females.

"Alright then, follow me." The woman said, trying her best to get that image of the cute Naruto out of her mind, before she extended her arm down once again, this time Naruto took it in a flash and held onto her, with a vice-like strength grip.

Alright guys, I hope you liked this chapter, before I begin on the second chapter for this story and my Maelstrom Trainer story, I will make the Korrina choice first chapter, although, I need help in naming it... because... well, I am not that great at naming stories, so any help is amazing.

Anyway, if making the title based on Naruto's specialities help, then the two types he will specialise in that story are; Dragon and Fighting.
