Afrins Pov
I was running through the brambles, pushing them away from my face so i could see. They were chasing after me, the people who threatened the existence of the SBE . I ran into a clearing, it was quite beautiful actually, flowers were blooming everywhere and their scent was over-whelming.
"oi! She's here!" a voice yelled.
I started to run again, but a pair of arms wrapped around me. I screamed
"hush now, little girl, were going to make this quick"
"get the hell off me! You don't know what i can do!"
"oh we do, but your too pure to use your power, you don't have the guts"
"try me!"i yell
I twisted in his arms, to look at him, he was a middle aged man, brown hair, dull green eyes, nothing special. I wriggled out one arm, and touched his cheek. immediately the man dropped me and yelled out in pain, i put one arm forward in his direction, scrunching my hand into a ball, his body bent back, i could hear his back bone snapping and crunching, this time he let out a blood curdling scream. I flexed my wrist and twisted it around, his body flipped over onto his back, i could see the bone sticking out of his stomach. He was dead, his eyes were open and duller then they were before.
I had killed him. Surprisingly, it felt good, like i had been starving for years and i had just had the meal of a lifetime. A feeling of satisfaction overcame me. So he was right, killing people was what i fed off. I was supposed to do this, but i'm not! I don't have to be a monster, and i'm going to try my damnedest not to hurt anybody else.
