Circle 7: Round 3 The Violent with Words
Entering the next sector of Hell Dean and Cas fell
Cas thanked the monstrous creature
Then lead Dean towards a sound that rang a bell
The sound of moaning cries
Desperately wailing "I'm sorry"
With tears directed to pairs of black eyes
Dean's gruff voice spoke "what's the reason?
Why are they here?"
And Cas replied "its treachery nor treason
These people ruined lives
With their actions and words
Eventually leading to other's suicide"
Dean nodded, gasping at the image below
"What are those black-eyed beings?"
"Demons" Cas replied "they force the sinners to undergo
The same pain they afflicted"
Dean's mouth twitched to a smile,
As far as he could depict
"They're receiving their dues" Dean stated
Walking down the rocky cliff
He was chosen by God after all, and he felt obligated
Walking amongst the various souls
Dean recognized one he had seen before
This man was dangerous and Dean struggled to keep self-control
But Dean could not do it
Gordon was his name; he'd call Dean's brother a monster a freak
And yet Gordon thought he was full of wit
Gordon even tried to kill his brother Sam
'Since he wouldn't do it himself'
But the brothers overpowered the man
He had died
And clearly went to Hell
But Dean simply couldn't hide rage he felt deep inside
The anger made his blood boil
Like the way a man in a dessert
Who had food nor water and their insides would start to coil
From the exhaustion of the heat
It had run them down
And they knew death was their fate to meet
Dean could no longer control himself
He lunged at the man who caused pain and fear, made his brother feel worthless
Cas had wanted to shield himself
From the brutality of the attack
While Dean spit out curses between fists
And Dean continued until his body went slack
And he fell on his knees
In hapless despair, Cas knew what he had to do
But he also knew comforting Dean wouldn't be a breeze
Cas walked over to the slouching man
Dropped to his level and draped his arms around the shaking form
In all his years Cas hadn't felt like this since time began
"It is not your fault Dean, there's nothing you could have done."
"No I should ha-have b-b-been there, protected h-him b-bet-ter"
"Why must the weight of the world be placed on your shoulder? The battle cannot always be won"
Cas spoke softly in his ear
Whispering words of wisdom
That Dean solely needed to hear
Dean's cries and shakes subsided
And the exhausted man fell asleep
in the comfort the angel's arms provided
Cas placed a soft kiss on the tired man's head
"you are safe Dean Winchester" Cas stated for he knew what was coming Dean would dread
