I will never forget the day I got my first puppy. It was perfect; its eyes, its ears, its nose. All perfect. It even smelled perfect, well… at first.

It was a present from my Jacob.

I remember waking up super early on my sixth birthday, and jumping up and down on my toes waiting for mommy and daddy to wake up so they could take me to the big house so I could get my presents. It took forever! I think I ended up waking them up.

When I got to the big house, it was so pretty. I loved it when Alice quote 'loses control' un-quote. (That's what daddy calls it whenever Auntie Alice decorates for something.) I love it.

There was purple everywhere! I love, love, loved purple.

I walked into the front room, which was covered in purple confetti, and sat down next to my favorite uncle. Uncle Emmett. I love him. He makes me shoot milk out of my nose.

There was a huge pile of presents in the corner of the room. I looked at Carlisle, eyes wide, silently asking for permission to attack my gifts. He nodded. My insides leaped with the excitement.

I was halfway through the pile when Mom and Dad finally made their ways through the front door.

"Guess who we found." Mommy said, taking a seat next to Alice.

I didn't have to guess. "Jake!"

And then he was standing in the door frame. I wasn't sure how tall he was, but I knew that he was huge. And so he looked extra strange carring my tiny, tiny present.

"A puppy!?" I was so excited I couldn't control myself.

I heard Aunt Rose say something mean in the background, but I didn't listen, instead I jumped up and ran toward my Jacob…and my doggy.

"A dog, Jacob?" Jeeze, couldn't people at least be nice on my Birthday? "Is that really the best -"

"And now you'll always be thinking of me…" Jacob interupted, he was always saying really cheesy things. It was way cute.

"Like I don't already." I smiled. Jacob was the bestest friend.

"And look, you even match."

It was true, both me and the dog had matching purple bows in our hair. It was way cute too. Almost everything was way cute on my birthday. I was so happy.

I will never forget the day my ex-favorite Uncle Emmett ate my first puppy.

He said that he was super, super thirsty, and super, super sorry. I didn't believe him.

He owes me, cause he made my birthday very ugly.

Red is not, not, not a cute color. Especailly not on a puppy.
