A/N: I remember writing 'It's you: Dana Glover' and i re-read it after the review from Blackthorn and Me, and I don't mind saying that I was face-palming when I finished reading it. I thought: "Noooo This crap isn't called English is it?" My English was…was…there are simply no words for! So I decided to make another fic (no songfic this time) with sentences you can actually understand. ;)
I know my English isn't a hundred percent but it's better now than then! For those who have read it, you'll know what I'm talking about!
Peaches' PoV
We'd been together for a few months now but we were forced to go our separate ways. Ethan's family moved out of the valley and wouldn't come back for some unknown time. Saying goodbye was probably one of the hardest thing I'd ever had to do. I can perfectly remember the day he departed:
~Flashback~
Ethan had announced a few days ago that he'd have to leave, he would leave with his family and with the thought of me. I was watching some of children play with Sid while I saw Ethan approach me. I turned and looked into his eyes, I sought happiness for seeing me but instead his eyes were dark and sorrowful.
"Ethan? What's wrong?" I had asked him. He merely looked at me, he didn't say anything but the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes said enough. I shook my head not wanting to believe it was all over.
"I'm sorry, Peach but I'll have to go within a half hour." Ethan replied silently. I pulled his trunk up with mine and let him caress my tusk. "I love you so much, Peaches." Ethan whispered closing his eyes tightly. I wanted to replay but no words came forth.
For what seemed like hours which was actually just a quarter, we tore apart and Ethan's mother appeared unnoticed by everyone else.
"We have to go." She had said softly. I frowned in confusion. Ethan said we got half an hour!
"Now? You said…-" Ethan began only to be interrupted by his own mother.
"I know what I said, dear, but things have changed so come with me and we'll depart at once." His mother said. I felt tears roll down my cheek and took hold of Ethan's trunk again.
"No, please, you can't leave! I love you." I managed to choke out before I was sobbing like a lonely and lost child with no way of knowing where her parents were. Ethan looked at the ground and let go of my trunk. He turned and followed his mother. The thing that really hurt me was the fact that he didn't even turn around to look me into my eyes.
He just left.
~End of Flashback~
I count every day as I watch the sunset without him. I'm still waiting for him, deep down I know he's coming back.
"I love you Ethan." I whisper into the darkness of the night as the sun disappeared over the horizon.
