Prologue
Naraku grinned evilly as he watched the parts of his plan come together. Soon, he told himself, soon.
He had waited so long for his revenge, and now, with a little magic, he was going to get it and the Shikon Jewel at the same time.
This time, he wouldn't fail. Not with this plan. He learned the weaknesses of his enemies, and learned to use them in battle. After all, he was evil, not fair.
He grinned once again, before turning to the two demons next to him. "There is only one danger to my plan. Find her, and then kill her," he snorted as the two demons nodded and left. 'And don't screw this up!"
Meanwhile….
Night had come over the forest. Inuyasha could feel the magical force rising, he knew something was happening. He also knew that, eventually, it would come to their group and probably cause problems.
The half-dog-demon's ears perked up when he heard a slight rustle below. Gazing down from his high tree branch at the sleeping creatures below, he immediately saw that Kagome had turned over in her sleep. Relaxing against the tree, his thoughts turned to his strange group. Where else in the world could you find a 15-year-old miko from the future, a perverted monk, a demon exterminator, a young, orphaned kitsune, a two-tailed cat demon, and him, a dog hanyou, traveling together to find sacred jewel shards.
He sighed, and turned back to continue his silent vigil over the forest.
