Naruto stared at Sakura as they slowly walked back from training. "Sakura-chan what's wrong?" Naruto asked, noticing that she didn't look happy.

"Naruto... it's just Sasuke is gone, and he's probably never coming back." Sakura said, looking at him with sad eyes.

"Sakura-chan don't say that! Sasuke will come back." Naruto said, with a smile.

I would never say it to Sakura-chan's face. How much I love her, how much it pained me to see her in such pain. And all because of Uchiha. He made her cry. And no matter how much of a friend he was to me, I still hate him for the fact that Sakura-chan cried over him. Naruto sighed. "How about we go get some ramen, I'll pay." he smiled.

Sakura put on a small smile. "Sure Naruto." she said, as they made their way to Ichiraku. Naruto sat down an ordered, ramen for the two of them. Sakura smiled, as she watched her friend eat the noodles like he'd never eat food a day in his life.

"Come on Sakura-chan eat some more ramen!" Naruto cheered.

"That was some good food." Naruto said, walking down the street with Sakura.

"It was very good, thank you Naruto." Sakura said. As they had gotten older, Sakura found Naruto less annoying, and became closer friend when she talked to him.

"We should do it again some time." Naruto smiled.

"Yeah." Sakura smiled.

"Well, here's my apartment. I'll see ya tomorrow, Naruto." Sakura said, walking to her apartment door.

"Hey, Sakura. Do you think maybe I could stay over for a little bit?" Naruto asked, with a faint blush.

"Sure." Sakura smiled. Naruto walked into the apartment with Sakura, and sat down on her couch.

"Do you want something to drink?" Sakura asked.

"No thanks." Naruto said. Sakura sat down on the couch and leaned back.

"Sakura?" Naruto asked. She opened her eyes and started at him questionably. "Why? Why do you cry over Sasuke?" he asked. Sakura was taken aback by the question.

"Naruto it's not that easy." Sakura said. Naruto started at her. "I can't just say I'll stop loving Sasuke just because he doesn't love me back." she said.

"Well, I can't stop loving you either!" Naruto yelled. Sakura's eyed widened.

"Naruto?" she asked.

"I should leave." Naruto said, quickly standing up.

"No." Sakura said, grabbing onto the back of his shirt before he could move any further. He looked back at her, to see the tears she wanted to cry from so long falling.

"Sakura-chan don't cry." Naruto said, kneeling down, and brushing a tear away. She jumped into his arms and started to cry.

"I'm sorry, Sakura-chan. I shouldn't have said that." Naruto said, hoping she would stop crying. Sakura sniffled a couple times before she could fully breathe. "Sakura-chan." Naruto said, sadly. "I know you can't love me but please, don't stop being my friend." he said, hoping she would stop crying.

"You big idiot." Sakura cried, smacking his shoulder. He stared at her not knowing what to do.

"I know, I mean how could you ever love a demon like me." Naruto laughed bitterly.

"Naruto." Sakura said, as sternly as she could. He looked at her waiting to see the look of disgust so many others had given him. When he looked in her eyes he saw no disgust or sympathy. In stead he saw something that no other had given him a look of before. It was a look of love. She smiled, and hugged him.

"Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked, unsure on what she was doing.

"Naruto how could I hate you." she said. "I can't hate you when I love you." She said, giving him a small kiss.

"You- you love me?" he asked, unsure if what she had just said was real.

"Yes you big idiot!" she yelled, hugging him, almost knocking him over.
