She runs down the street never looking back. She wanted to get away from him as soon as possible. He screamed after her something she couldn´t make out but she wouldn´t listen to him. Never wanted to be near him again. No more lies, shouts and tears. Tears she shed almost every night. When he came back home drunk he would scream at her. When she came home from work he would scream at her. After six month she had enough. She would leave him today and nothing can stop her. They had a huge fight he treated her, he hit her. She run away out of their flat calling the police on her way.
Told them where to find her. She hoped they would arrive soon. If she reaches her car she would be safe till the officers came. Just a few more steps and she had reached her car. But he got her grabbing her by the shoulders and turning her around. " You´re not going to leave me Paige. Without me you are nothing. Nobody wants you. You´re worthless!" To her relief she saw a police car coming towards them. She looked at him. " No you´re wrong. YOU are nothing without me. You don´t have a job or friends in your life. I leave you now and never come back. It´s enough" The officers took him away from her and arrested him. Before he was put in the police car he screamed: " I let you go for now. But be sure I will find you wherever you go. I will come and make you suffer." Paige got in her car and drove to the police station to make her report. She left town in a rush never looking back.
2 month later…..
Paige woke up at 5:30 in the morning. "Damn alarm clock. Just five more minutes, please." She tried to close her eyes again but in that moment Kyra , her golden Retriever, came into her bedroom foodbowl in her mouth. "Ok ok I get it I'm awake." She walked into her kitchen to feed Kyra. "Here you go girl." She ate some toast and fruits while drinking her coffee then got into the shower to get ready for work. Dressed in some jeans and a light blue shirt she put on her leather jacket got into her green VW beetle and drove the 20 minutes to work.
Shortly after she arrived at the lab her friend and co-worker Angela came to her. "Hi Paige. How was your weekend?" "Nothing special. I just went grocery shopping did some cleaning and watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy. And how was yours?" "Lord of the Rings trilogy?" Angela whispered with a funny look on her face. "Mine was great. My das was watching Michael on Saturday so Hidgins and I went to this cute little Italian Restaurant then took a walk in a nearby park and to end this great evening we booked a room in a romantic looking hotel had a bottle of champagne and the rest you can imagine!" She finished with a shy smile."Oh Ang I didn´t need to know that." Paige replied. "By the way where is everyone else?" "Oh they got a new case so Booth, Brennan, Cam and Hodgins are out in the field. Someone was found dead in the woods." "Ok then I will go to prepare everything when they come back. Lunch?" "Yeah sure I meet you at the entrance lets say 12 o´clock?" "Ok bye Ang." "See ya Paige."
