Malik frowned as he looked at Bakura's lighter half across the room. "... Bakura? Weren't you really powerful when you were the Thief King?"
"There is no were. I am the Thief King. And yes."
Malik frowned harder as the pale-haired light giggled girlishly at something, delicately covering his mouth. "... Ryou's your reincarnation, right?"
"Actually, it's a lot more complicated than that, but, yeah. Basically."
"... So... Basically... He has your soul, or spirit, or whatever?"
"Yes. What's the point to these foolish questions?"
Suddenly Malik had a wide smirk planted on his face. "Oh, how the mighty have fallen."
I was just thinking recently- aren't Ryou and Bakura (technically) the same person? Apparently, Ryou is Bakura's reincarnation or something. I'm not totally sure. Anyway, so I got to thinking "So, to put it short, Ryou was the Thief King at one point." 'cause Bakura was the thief king (minus Zorc.) and Ryou and Bakura were the same person. Ryou is so much smaller and weaker than Touzouku- I'm sure he would've been horrified to learn he became so small and pale.
I mean, WHERE do you get adorable, pale, skinny little Ryou from sexy, tan, terrifying, intimidating Touzouku? Or even, BAKURA'S intimidating (which, I imagine, is much less frightning, but still scary.) compared to shy little Ryou.
It just baffled me, is all.
