The senior crew of the Nightspawn:
Captain Doodle-doo faust everfree: The Only son of Princess Luna Faust and Dusk-shield everfree (deceased). Biologically an alicorn, however as he was born a Squib he is technically a pegasi. To prove himself to equestria, he has volunteered to lead the first Equestria Space Exploration program.
First officer Twillight Sparkle: The princess of friendship, acting as first officer aboard the Nightspawn. Twilight joined both to discover new lives and spread freindship, but also to watch over Captain everfree, at the insistence of the princesses. Although they are both alicorns, unlike the captain she is very skilfull at magic.=
Chief engineer Mr trot: Mechanical magician, Mr trot is a unicorn whose magical specialization is the emerging field of mechanical magic. When off duty he is often seen drinking hard cidar, although he would prefer something stronger.
Comunications officer Enkari: A unicorn student of the underated field of linguestics, he hopes also to prove himself to his parents. He also has some telepathic abilities.
Ship-Psychologist Dr Wolf: Requested by Captain Everfree. His name is in literal reference to his being an anthropomorfic trans dimesional wolf doctor, He is the famous across equestria for his contributions to equestrian psychology. As this journey has never been attempted before, he was requested to understand the psychological aspects of space travel.
