Mario woke up in a desert. It was almost nightfall and getting cold, but there was still light.
He saw a ripped up cap on the ground. It started coming back to him...
FLASHBACK**
Mario flies along on Yoshi's back above the hot sands and under the hot sun. About every 500
metres the land for a while as Yoshi runs to gain enough power to use the cape again. Mario
notices a Koopa statue in the distance.
As they get nearer, the statue starts blowing fireballs at them. Yoshi dodges the first few
but soon gets hit. They fall down, but Mario does a butt-stomp to destory the statue. Yoshi
and Mario start walking through the desert but feel dizzy.
FLASHBACK**
Mario looked around at all sides but only saw only a few sand hills. Where was Yoshi.
"Yoshi!" He yelled.
There was no reply. Was Yoshi hiding behind one of the hills? Had Yoshi walked off? Was Yoshi
even still alive?
Mario started yelling again.
"Yoshi! Jokes over! Come on out!"
Mario kept yelling as he walked over a sand hill but stopped as soon as he saw a grave. He ran
up to it and read it.
'Here Lies Yoshi. RIP'
"Sorry bud." Mario said.
As Mario looked around he started talking to himself.
"This could be a dream. Yeah, thats it. I am at the castle. I will wake up any momment."
He looked to his left, right then behind himself.
"NOOOOOOOO!"

Mario layed in bed as two doctors looked over him.
"No. No. Wha..." Mario started mumbling.
"Mario! Mario!" said one doctor.
"What the..? Where am I"
"You are in the Mushroom Hospital. You fainted when you heard Yoshi had died in the desert."
"But I was in the desert! I was there..." Mario debated.
"Just rest."
The doctors walked out, one holding Mario's clothes he was wearing before. As he put them on a
bench, he knocked over Mario's shoe. A pile of sand fell out...
