It had been a long couple of days.
She had decided to wait until he was back to tell him, something like this really shouldn't be said over a holo.
She wasn't quite sure how this had happened, well she knew how but still.
The universe worked in mysterious ways.
She wondered how they would cope, they seemed to be doing a good job with Aruvu, but he was different, he was older for a start.
It wasn't that she didn't want kids, but she had to admit she had her reservations.
She stood, waiting.
When she saw him walking toward her for a moment it seemed as if the reservations had gone.
As soon as he was close enough she placed her arms around his neck and hugged him as best she could with the bulk of beskar in the way.
She heard him chuckle and he pulled her close, lifting her off the floor slightly.
He put the Chiss down, and then she stood up on her toes again so she could kiss him.
"Su cuy'gar, cyare," He smiled.
"Same to you," She placed a hand on a stubbled cheek. He'd been looking 'scruffier' as of late, she actually quite liked it.
"Better get back,"
"Yeah, I've got something to tell you when we're back on the ship,"
They had walked, him holding her close. Telling her of what had happened whilst he was off ship. Zanearo occasionally commented but mostly just listened.
They got back onto the ship and a small twi'lek boy ran over and then clung to Torian's leg.
"Hey, Vu," He said picking up the green skinned twi'lek. "You been a jate verde'ika whilst I've been gone?"
He nodded.
"Aruvu, why don't you go find Mako, buir and I need to talk for a bit," Zanearo said softly. Aruvu nodded. He still didn't talk much but he was a happy child, so that was the main thing.
Torian put him down and watched as he walked off.
"What do you want to say?" He stood next to the techtable.
She took a breath, no point mincing words, "Tor, I'm pregnant."
She saw his eyes widen, and from the way he placed his hand out she was fairly certain if that table wasn't there he'd have fallen over. "Really?"
She nodded.
"You are sure?"
"Fairly sure,"
"How long have you known?"
"Only a couple of days, I'm still wrapping my head around it." Zanearo stood, slightly awkwardly, which was something she seldom did.
"Zan," He stepped over and pulled her in for another hug, quite a gentle one.
"You're taking this well,"
"We're having a ik'aad,"
"Hey don't forget about Aruvu,"
"I know, cyare."
"Think we'll do a good job?"
"I think we will, remember mhi ba'juri verde."
He planted a kiss on her forehead.
We will raise warriors.
She had thought it a nice sentiment at the time, as she doubted if this was even possible.
"Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum" She said.
"I know,"
