(a/n): What's gotten into me today? This poem is another poem about Jin. This time he is making a promise to his mother Jun. I promise he cannot break even for his life.

I Promise

All the time I spent these years,

I have spent them alone in wonder.

All the years that have gone by brought me nothing but more questioning.

What is the purpose I was made to live?

All the decades went by like days, filled with no memory of joy.

Not one day was meant for me to spend a minute on any thought.

I just went straight with what I was told

And stuck to one belief I have discovered years ago.

I trained myself to avenge one cause,

That means nothing to any soul but mine.

I have gone through so much,

Thinking of you not being there anymore.

I can still see your death in front of me,

Like a painting hung in my mind.

I can even feel your pain and hear your voice shattering in my ears.

I cannot take it anymore,

Knowing you're still suffering through the eternal sleep.

My life was ruined after you have left me behind.

My heart was taken, watching you die.

My dreams have faded when I have failed to save you.

My goals diminished when I have failed you.

But I promise you; I will let you rest in peace.

Just give me a chance to get through this long journey.

I promise I will annihilate those that have hurt you,

Because I still love you like years before.

I will do anything to get you back,

But I know what you want me to do.

Once when I have accomplished my goal.

I will finally begin a new life where my soul will be reborn.
