Hi! It's me, again! Sorry I haven't been posting lately, and the only explanation is that I'm too lazy to… Soooorry
Anyways, I'm back again. Well. I actually don't suppose you've been waiting for me…
So, enjoy!
"The Cat Returns… and the King is Envious"
Ikuto has been missing, and Amu is worried. Also, Tadase has disappointed Amu thoroughly, so... guess what? She's chosen Ikuto. And Tadase is jealous. Which is not good. Rated T for a bit of language, and maybe a bit of kissing. . Enjoy!
I was sitting at my desk again. Usually I would be missing Nadeshiko or Kuukai, but this time… It was Ikuto.
Where has he been for this past month??
"Eek!"
"Oh. Em. Gee!! It's Amuuuuuuu!"
"She's so cool! You know I heard that she and Tadase-kun were going out!"
"AHHHH!! TADASE-KUUUUUUN!"
Everyday it's the same. Always the rumors, going around. And I don't even like Tadase anymore. I saw through him. Saw through him like I had run him through with a KNIFE.
He was the gayass I always suspected he was.
Guess what happened?
I was sitting at my desk, missing Nadeshiko as usual. Without her and without Kuukai as well, the Guardian meetings were empty. It was just the charas holding WORLD DOMINATION MEETINGS as usual, with KISEKI THE KING leading as usual.
I'd always wondered when gentle, handsome Tadase would become a WORLD DOMINATION MANIAC like KISEKI THE KING was.
He was my world, my everything, my life. I lived and breathed Tadase.
Until…
He walked, no, MARCHED into the room, with KISEKI THE KING at his side, and promptly stood onto the teacher's desk.
"WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! BOW DOWN TO ME, COMMONERS!"
The rest of the class watched, dumbfounded, and muttering amongst themselves, they jokingly collapsed onto the floor. Beads of sweat rolling down my face, I stepped through the "commoners" and walked up to Tadase, who was still "WAHAHAHAHA"- ing.
"Tadase-kun?"
He looked at me with wild, WORLD DOMINATION eyes, and said, with no emotion towards me at all except distaste and anger, "Shut up, Hinamori. GET DOWN, NOW!"
My eyes widened as I saw that KISEKI THE KING was actually nowhere in sight, and there was no "Kiseki-crown" on Tadase's head.
He was acting of his own accord.
He really hated me!
My eyes filled with tears and I sprinted out of the room. Behind me, I heard Tadase saying, "GET BACK HERE, YOU FILTHY COMMONER!"
That's when I decided he wasn't worth it at all.
I ran to the lockers, hurriedly put on my shoes, slung on my bag, and started to go home. It had been after school anyway.
Did I overreact? Or was he really not worth it?
I walked out of the same gate I walked out of that day.
Idly, with my hands behind my head, I began the long journey home. Thankfully…
"Amu!"
"We finally found you!"
"We thought you were at the Guardians' meeting!"
"Sorry, Ran, Miki, Suu. I quit that a long time ago."
I surprised myself with the cold feeling in my voice. I suddenly smiled and said, "Really, I'm sorry!"
They all humphed and just floated after me, silent.
I looked at the ground and noticed a jagged, blue rock on the floor. I kicked it viciously. It skidded down the sidewalk and kept going… until somebody stopped it with a foot.
A foot?
I looked up and he had already picked it up.
It was Ikuto.
My eyes widened with disbelief, and, surprising myself, ran up to him and hugged him around the waist.
"What the hell?"
"Where the hell have you been? Do you know how freaking worried I've been?"
"Worried? Really? About me? What happened to the kiddy king?"
I let go of his waist, and I knew my golden eyes had clouded with anger.
"Oooookay, let's not go there, then."
