A short one-shot about Shuyin and Tidus after Yuna had fallen into the Farplane from Djose Temple, losing her conscious thoughts. Read and review.
"Yuna!" Paine yelled.
"Yunie!" Rikku yelled.
Yuna couldn't hear the screams of her name. She had lost consciousness. She fell into the hole in the Chamber of the Fayth. Her body landed hard on soft grass, but in midair, her dressphere had changed to the songstress dressphere.
From only yards away, Tidus saw the sight. His heart leapt.
"Yuna!" He called.
He ran to Yuna, gently shaking her.
"Yuna. Yuna!" Tidus said.
Two strong hands threw Tidus aside. He saw a possessed Baralai, a ghost looking similar to him coming out of the praetor's body.
"Who are you?" Tidus asked. He practically spat it.
"Lenne is mine." The ghost said.
"Her name is not Lenne!" Tidus snapped. Suddenly it was just he and the ghost. He snarled.
"Shuyin! Leave Yuna alone!" Tidus snapped. He knew Shuyin well... he knew he was the dream of Shuyin.
"Lenne is mine, little dream." Shuyin snapped. He punched Tidus in the face, making the young man stutter backwards.
"It's so bright…" Yuna mumbled.
Tidus stopped and said, "Yuna! Can you hear me?"
"I can't see you… where are you?" Yuna mumbled again.
Shuyin stole most of Tidus's energy, forming completely.
"Right here." Shuyin said.
"No! Yuna!" Tidus yelled. He knew Yuna wouldn't hear him, but had to try. He watched the scene between Shuyin and Yuna play out. He whistled often.
Then Shuyin hugged Yuna. Tidus snarled.
"Yuna! Open your eyes! Yuna! Please let her hear me!" Tidus yelled.
"Open your eyes!" Nooj yelled.
Suddenly the New Yevon Praetor appeared again in place of Shuyin. Tidus felt some of his own energy return to him. He could see himself well enough, but knew others would only see an outline of him.
Tidus watched as Yuna received two spheres from Nooj and Gippal. Tidus wondered who this "Paine" was.
Then Yuna was alone. She started ranting. She ran around a little bit, then screamed.
She hugged her knees as she said, "I'm all alone…"
Tidus whistled. Yuna stood up.
"What?" Yuna asked.
Tidus whistled again. He walked away from Yuna, Yuna following him. He disappeared. Tidus whistled, and he appeared. He led Yuna closer to where he wanted her, a staircase. He disappeared again, then whistled one last time.
Yuna made it to the "invisible" staircase. Tidus led her up the staircase to the Bevelle Underground. Yuna passed out once she was on the bridge that once led to Vegnagun. Tidus felt himself fully appear. He brushed Yuna's hair back.
"She's really changed. What does Shuyin want with her?" Tidus wondered aloud. He kissed Yuna's forehead.
"I'll be back, I promise. I love you, Yuna." Tidus said. He regrettably left Yuna behind.
What will you do to get her away from Shuyin? Tidus thought to himself.
Okay, first FFX-2 Story/One-shot. Be critical if you want. By "energy" I mean like his ghost-appearance. Since Tidus is Shuyin's "dream," Shuyin can steal energy from Tidus. Just thought I'd point that out. Please Review!
