It was the first time I saw her. Those green eyes that refused to glow, the firm line shaped her lips that won't smile and the blonde hair that always sticks to her face.
It was a weekday at Destiny Islands and everything was quiet. Xigbar was tasked to find another member for the Organization even though he just found the 11th just last week.
"Ah…it's really hot. Why can't I change into more comfortable clothes?" Xigbar muttered to himself, fanning himself with his hand. "Where can I even find another Nobody? I mean, they don't just pop out anytime!"
His rant goes on for minutes, stopping to take a break and sit down under a shade, until he passed by a school.
'Huh, is it dismissal time already? Not very much students here.' Xigbar was about to turn around, until something catches his working eye on the corner.
A female comes out from the gates of the school, drenched and wearing gym clothes. Her eyes seemed lifeless and the way she walks out looks like she's limping. Back to the gates, there was a group of girls giggling and making comments at the drenched female.
Xigbar turns back, surprised at what he saw. His mind tried to process, and soon after, he comes running towards the limping student and took her hand, the girl stopping on her tracks and looks at the older man.
"H-hey! Come with me!" The black and white haired man told her. "I know it looks weird, seeing that we don't know each other but still, come with me."
And they proceeded to walk to the opposite direction of the school.
She looked so sad.
This story was inspired by Yuu Koutari's backstory in Black Rock Shooter 2012 anime and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days novel Axel Seven Days chapter 5.
Also, the chapters are meant to be short, since I expect this to end before it gets 10 chapters, so yeah.
