Mother can't take it any more

New Game

After intro….

Ninten woke with a start on a chair in his room. He looked around. The bedroom seemed to shake every few seconds with a yellow flicker.

Ninten tried to get up, but he couldn't move his arms or legs. "What's going on?" he yelled.

A black box appeared above his head. It read, "You can't move yet you idiot. The player's computer is slow, plus she hasn't moved you."

"Who's this player to tell me what to do?" Ninten yelled, finally breaking free of his stiffness. He grabbed the box and twisted it like a wet paper towel. "Oww! You can't do that!" appeared in its text. Ninten ignored it and kept wringing it.

When Ninten was done, he stormed out of the room. When a lamp came near, Ninten deftly snapped it over his knee. This went on until a haunted baby doll was snapped.

Frantic clicking noises could be heard. "Hey," a girl's voice shouted, "you weren't supposed to do that! You were supposed to fight the doll! Not snap it in half!" Ninten ignored the girl's yelling and picked up an old music box from the floor. It began to play.

Take a melody…

The girl finally stopped shouting. She seemed to be singing the rest of the song.

Simple as can be,

Give it some words and

Sweet harmony!

Raise your voooices

All day long now love grows strong now

Sing a melody

Of love, oh love!

The girl suddenly started panicking. "Omigosh," she said, "you weren't supposed to hear that Ninten! That was a major plot point!" Ninten sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Well now that you heard the song, you may as well hear what exactly you're supposed to do. You need to go on a journey to collect the eight melodies that make up what I sang. The first melody was here and the next one is in, uh… Canary Village after you give Luana her missing chick. I'll guide you along."

"Fine let's just get this thing over with!" Ninten yelled in exasperation. Minnie, his sister, cocked her head at him. "Who's that voice?" she asked. "The player" Ninten replied. And with that, Ninten ran out of his house ready to finish the game.

After a lot of walking and fighting, Ninten reached a house near Podunk. A woman with purple hair was running around panicking. "Help me! Someone help!" she cried, "My darling Pippi is gone!" The woman saw Ninten and begged him to help. "Um…. Why?" Ninten asked. "Please! Pippi was kidnapped by zombies from the cemetery! I'll pay you! I'll pay you 800 dollars! Just help Pippi!" the woman cried. She shoved the money at Ninten. He grabbed it and ran off to Podunk Cemetery.

"Hello? Pippi? Where are you?" Ninten called from the entrance to the cemetery. "Okay, you have to go counter-clockwise around the perimeter of the cemetery. Just keep walking until you find some pillars. Go down the hole near them." The girl's voice said.

Ninten saw some trees blocking his way. "Oooooor I could just go through the trees." He said while going the bare trees, pushing away the branches. " Hey Ninten! You aren't supposed to do that!" the voice yelled. "Whatever." Ninten muttered.

Ninten reached the hole after fighting some gang zombies and Mr. Bats. He jumped down the hole, went down some stairs, and entered a room with four coffins. They were all shaking.

Ninten opened the nearest coffin and a zombie popped out at him.
