Your friend is also mine

-She's accepting it ?

Vincent turned to see the silhouette of Catherine's colleague by the roof's door, where it settled down to dwell in. Normally, he would not have been caught by surprise in such a way, but even his senses seemed to betray him tonight. The wind heavily conttributed to it. However, he took time to answer Evan, who dared to interrupt his meandering thoughts.

-Well sometimes she screams a bit. But past experiences proved that this is for her own good. And sometimes you can even behold some very...insightful scenes. Like seeing you getting closer to her.

- It was just a kiss. And anyway, I am certainly a more healthy match for her than some sort of maniac that spend his days following her. Especially when this maniac breaks her heart. -You are saying a lot of detrimental things about Evan, with evidences to back it up I assume?

- She talked about it to Tess and to her younger sister. And to me as well. I am her friend, a shoulder for her to lay her head down when she feels bad.

- A quick piece of advice: you should not offer more than your shoulder, it would be somewhat annoying to meet your case study.

Evan pulled back when the beast that has become his case study was mentioned. It did not see to bother Vincent, who seemed determined to carry on on the same pace.

- Talking about case study, I know well enough your friend Claire to advise you to be cautious. When she will be back, test her, just for a good laugh.

- Leave Claire out of this! I forbid you to follow her like you do with Catherine!

Vincent made it to start walking, passing by Evan, resting his hand on his shoulder, making this one shudder and pulling off his touch.

- It would be such a shame for you to have to cure her. What would you prefer then? You former or your new speciality?

-What do you mean? Evan replied, yis eyes full of surprise, under the shock of the evocation of his former life.

Vincent let a rousy laugh escape his throat, before moving to the staircase, so he could go down the building's stairs. He turned towards Evan, his eyes now turned a bit yellow, hoping he would not be surprise to notice this slight change.

-Oh but you know Dr Marks, your friend JT is above all my friend JT.
