Christmas Baby

This is my first Supernatural fic.
I know it's really late for a Christmas fic, but I'm still in the Christmas spirit.
This is the first fic I've written that isn't hurt/comfort, and I think I did okay.

Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I don't own Supernatural or any of the characters. If I did Dean and Cas would more than likely be together. :D

Snow fell through the freezing Chicago air, gathering on the window sill and covering the front lawn of the house on the corner of the block.
The only light coming from the house was from the brightly lit Christmas tree that stood in the bay window at the front.
The creak of a floor board downstairs woke the sleeping hunter and he sat up quickly, pulling the sharpened knife from underneath his pillow. He looked down at the spot next to him in the king sized bed to see it empty and he relaxed slightly and put the knife back. He pulled on a shirt and that was lying on the floor and walked downstairs quietly, not bothering to tun on any lights as he went.
He stood in the doorway to the living room, leaning slightly against the doorframe, smiling at the scene before him. His husband of 6 months was standing next to the Christmas tree, rocking their 5 week old son back to sleep and humming Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.
Dean walked across the room and wrapped his arms around Castiel's waist, kissing the side of his head and rocking slightly with him.
"Is he still up?" Dean whispered.
"Yeah, this is the 3rd time." Castiel whispered back, turning so he was facing Dean.
They were both staring down at the baby. His blue eyes that were identical to Castiel's were almost fully closed in sleep.
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear the monitor. You've gotten up with him every time since he was born; you need to sleep Cas." Dean said.
"I know…I just feel." Cas shifted into a more comfortable position so the baby's head was now on his shoulder and Dean moved closer, pulling Castiel and their baby closer to him and swaying slowly from side to side.
"You feel what?
"Sort of like I did with you at the very beginning; like you were only safe when I was with you. Like you'd break apart or something without me." Cas blushed and Dean couldn't help but chuckle at how cute he looked.
"This is a big first." Cas said nearly 10 minutes later.
"It is." Dean nodded, agreeing.
"Our first Christmas in this house."
"Our first Christmas together ."
"Our first Christmas as a family."
"I love you Cas." Dean said as he placed a small but loving kiss to Cas's lips. "And you too Gabe.
He kissed the side of his son's head before pulling him carefully out of Cas's arms.
"Come on, he's asleep, let's go back to bed." Dean said and Castiel followed him up the stairs to Gabriel's room.
Dean lowered him into the crib and placed a kiss to his forehead before turning around and grabbing Cas's hand. They looked into their son's room once more before going back to their own room and climbing into the middle of the giant bed and burrowing under the blankets.
Castiel's head rested on Dean's shoulder and one of his hands rested over the anti-possession tattoo on his chest.
"Thank you De." Cas muttered sleepily into Dean's neck.
"For what?" Dean said, wrapping both his arms around Cas and pulling him closer to himself.
"For letting me name our son after my brother."
"Cas…I wouldn't have it any other way."
"Merry Christmas De."
"Merry Christmas baby."

I know it's very OOC but it had to be for this story to work and it was really late (or early depending on what you'd call 3am) when I wrote this.
Reviews = Happiness :D
