The challenge word this week is Flannel and this picks up some time after season 9, episode 10 so beware slight spoilers.
"You are not being truthful, Dean, I know you are hurt."
Cas's head tilts to the side and the gesture is so familiar and welcome that Dean's resolve almost weakens.
It hurts so much and he knows he's gonna struggle with the sutures the wound no doubt needs.
He tries to sit a bit straighter and discretely closes his flannel over his bloody t-shirt.
"I'm fine, Cas..."
He whispers unconvincingly and the angel frowns.
"Let me help you."
Dean shakes his head, pain clouding his eyes.
"No...I said I wouldn't drag anyone into this...and I won't...go...please."
