Summary: Dumbledore once said it was impossible to bring back the dead. But even he didn't know there was a way to watch dead. Using a spell from the Half-Blood Prince, you could actually communicate with those loved ones that had gone to the heavens.
Harry flipped through the pages of the Advanced Potion Making book which once belonged to the Half-Blood Prince, which he found out years ago that once it had belonged to Severus Snape.
His finger ran down the list of potions when a hand-written word caught his eye. He had never seen those two words before, but since Severus Snape had written them, it must have been used at least once. The words read: Vigilare Caeli. Next to the words, Snape had written, "Special Use Only. Flick once and swish wand in form of a circle to use spell."
Wondering what that meant, Harry followed the instructions. Half of a second later, he was staring at Kings Cross station. But much cleaner and brighter. With no people walking, except a group of people…
He dropped to his knees. He could not believe what he was watching. A big group of people were staring wide-eyed at him. A blond man was the first to react. "Harry? Is that you?" The blond haired man walked towards him, and gaped. He tried to go through the door, but he couldn't, as if there was a very clear invisible glass was facing him. He pounded on the door, trying to break in, but he couldn't. He just couldn't. The rest of the group had reached him while he tried to go in. "Harry! Can you hear me?" the blond man asked.
Harry nodded at Remus, "Yes, Remus, I can." He croaked. A red-haired woman started to cry as she heard his voice. "Mum? Is that really you, or am I dreaming?"
"Oh Harry! How have you been?" I smiled at her and nodded. "Son, I can't believe this…what kind of spell is this?" I held up the copy of the book and pointed at the spell. Lily recognized the handwriting and called for Snape's name. Severus Snape popped out of nowhere and I stumbled back. "Snape! I mean, Proffeso-no, that isn't it, what can I call you?"
He grinned and my eyes widened. Who would have thought Severus Snape smiled at all? "Just call me Severus, Potter." Dad turned to him and said, "I thought that was MY nickname, Snivellus!" I grinned. Having them act like this, it was like seeing them in their childhood. And I loved it. "I see you used my spell, Potter." He raised his eyebrows in a questioning way. I nodded.
"What spell?" asked Sirius, James, Lily and Remus. "Vigilare Caeli," I told them. They looked at me as if I'd talked in Spanish. James turned to Severus. "Do you have a spell to let US see him?" Snape shook his head. "I would have told Lily." He answered.
I figured. But who cares? Now, I have a way to talk to mum and dad. I almost yelped of joy. But I froze as I saw a white-bearded man behind them. Dumbledore. "Dumbledore," I whispered. "Oh Professor!" Dumbledore smiled and said, "Harry, you don't have to call me by that formal name no more, my dear boy, you may call me Albus."
"I don't really think I'll get used to that." I answered with a grin.
Everyone laughed heartily. I felt…home, as if I had opened a door to heaven, which I actually did. But whatsoever. I love this world, and I always will.
WICKED!
