"Kiss me."
Vibrant eyes studied the mask before her. She didn't know how they made it to this, but they were here. She brushed his cheek, dragging her fingertips up to his make-shift ears. She had admittedly fallen for him, and she hated herself for it. They rendezvoused like this all too frequently.
Through impatience, she pried his mask from his face revealing his sweaty, unkept hair. Behind a latex mask, it was bound to grow hot. She cupped his cheeks between her hands and tried to pull him into a gentle kiss.
It all started with their first kiss. He wasn't affected by her, and she could never figure out why. She spent a long while searching for an answer, to no avail. At least this was gained out of it? Constant heartbreak.

"Pamela, I can't."
Even though she knew, it all still stung. She winced at the harshness of his voice. Well, it wasn't harsh. It was apathetic, but her mind lead her to hear otherwise. A wetness met with her thigh causing her to realize that she had been crying.
"I'm sorry, Pamela."
He pulled her into an embrace. As soon as he did so, she began sobbing. She gripped his suit tightly, trying to pull him closer. She began asking why.
"Am I not pretty enough?"
"Why are you hurting me?"
"Am I not worthy?"
This was all so heartbreaking. Two broken individuals could never work, but she was convinced they could. He felt guilty. So, he held her closer, until she would fall asleep.
"You're perfect."
He admitted while caressing her hair, attempting to bring her to sleep. And she did--
When sunrise came, she was met with silence and loneliness in her bed. She reached for her the bottle of pills beside her head and slipped two bars into her hand. She took them and allowed herself to forget the world. Slipping into slumber--
Slipping into abyss--
