A/N: Before you get all excited, this is the first story I am going to publish on this site. This was made to test how this site's publishing and stuff works... so I hope it doesn't seem too bland. Well, enjoy if you can!

A large manor stood in the middle of a field. Inside the manor- one of the many rooms held a study; a sorcerer sitting in one of the wooden chairs at the moment. He was leaning over a desk with a hood over his brown hair, intently reading a spellbook that was opened up to a chapter on how to levitate objects from long distances.

Dangit, He thought, Why can't I do it?! The young sorcerer looked over at a different book, laying on a table about twelve feet away. He focused hard on the object, but it would shift in place a little, not even getting off the table. If he was closer, the book would go up and float wherever he wanted- but anything beyond eleven feet would barely budge.

The brunette sighed out in frustration. He looked out of one of the windows, seeing the moon and several stars. Wasn't that a sunrise just a few minutes ago...? He turned, looking at one of the grandfather clocks. It was midnight. Oh, well... The sorcerer thought, turning back to his spellbook to reread the chapter. I've stayed up later than that. He stifled a yawn and rubbed his eyes briefly.

The sorcerer heard the door to the study creak a little. He turned, his chocolate brown eyes spotting a very familiar blond approaching him. Why is Brice here? Wasn't he usually asleep at this time? The sorcerer stared at the blond, confused. "Seto," Brice put a hand on his shoulder, "Why are you still here? You've been sitting in that exact same chair ever since six in the morning! Have you even eaten today?" Brice gave him a look of worry. Come to think of it, Seto didn't remember eating at all today. He'd been so intent on learning how to levitate objects. Oops.

"Don't worry about me. I've just been trying to learn this spell... I'll go sleep in a little bit..." The sorcerer responded, yawning again. "Fine," The blond left the room again. Well, that was a lot easier than I expected... he'd usually carry on with telling me to sleep. Seto straightened his back and stretched his arms, trying to keep his muscles from aching from being in practically the same position for so long.

The door creaked open again. Seto wondered what it was now. He almost turned when two teacups were put onto the desk he was sitting at, steam rising from the caffeinated liquid inside. He looked up and saw Brice there, smiling at him. "I'll stay up with you then." The blond said, pulling a chair up and resting his head on the now-blushing sorcerer. "O-okay..." Seto smiled. He could use some company... especially Brice's.

A/N: So I just made this to test how this website works when it comes to stories, as I stated before. Sorry this was short and... kinda dull. Not feeling that creative right now. So! Hope you enjoyed- and remember... this was just to test some stuff. :3
