Elder stared down at blonde hair. That was all he could focus on was that shimmery, curly blonde hair that seemed to glimmer under the lights of the room. It made him itch to touch and he wanted so desperately to.

He'd read the name on the side of her pod. C. Forbes. He'd read her file and it said she was the daughter of a sheriff, a policewoman as the files in the archive room told him what that meant. Back when people needed more order and had people to enforce them.

He wondered what colors her eyes were. Where they like the old times where there were a myriad of colors like blue, green, hazel, brown and grey? What did her voice sound like? Was it deep, was it high, was it sweet? He wanted to know.

He stared down at the release button at the side of her pod and argued with himself. No, he couldn't. It'd be ridiculous to, he couldn't possibly…

But before he knew his hand was reaching across and pressing on the release button. The pod shell opened and he stared in awe as she started to thaw like an ice sculpture in summer, whatever that meant.

The sound of the alarm going off made him rush out of the room and it was later the screams made him aware that she was awake.

This was written for The Month of Caroline challenge with the pairing Elder/Caroline. Finally finished the bloody challenge, now I can die. Just kidding!
