"He got called into work." Laura replied, looking up from where she was cleaning the counter.

"He said he would take me to dance and Diego to soccer. He promised us." She huffed, slumping into the dining room chair.

"I'm sorry sweetie. Do you want me to ring him?" Laura asked, holding both kids to her.

"No its fine. I will just get Rosa to take me." She said, grabbing her dance bag and heading towards the front door.

"Can you drop me off please Mom?" Diego asked, picking up his soccer gear.

"Sure. Let me grab my purse and keys and we will go." She said, grabbing her hand bag and leaving the house.

"Hey. What about work?" Laura whispered as he kissed Diego on the head and his wife on the cheek.

"This is more important." He whispered back, waving to Eva who's face lit up when she saw him.

"You come to dance and soccer practice?" He asked, looking at his baby sister.

"I try to if I don't get calls. Hence the radio on my shoulder. Piece of technology crap." She muttered staring at it.

"You keep death staring it and it might break." he said, pushing her a little.

"Shush and watch." She said, tugging on Eva's ponytail in front of her.

"Hey Aunt Gabby. I didn't see you at dance this morning?" Eva said, looking up at her aunt.

"Sorry sweetie. Had a call out. Will be there next time." She said, turning her eyes back to the field.

"Uh no. I think he will understand." He said, helping her get cups and water.

"You keep going and you're going to end up grounded." Antonio said, shooting a warning glance at his son.

"Yes sir." Diego said, before turning back to his dinner.

"That's better." Antonio said, sitting down and looking at his family.
