3M Molly POV Shania Twain You're still the one
Sixteen year old Molly Parkman-Suresh sat comfortably on her bed in the small house she lived in with her two fathers, Matt Parkman and Mohinder Suresh. On her lap was the trusty Atlas/map book that her birth parents had given her on her 7th birthday. It was a little worn after all these years but it had held together well for all that happened. She had a newer, more complete map that she used when she was officially using her gift, but this map was the only one she would use to find her family. Finders, people with her particular gift, were in high demand at the moment and despite her age she was well paid for her efforts.
She let her eyes drift close as she thought about how much had changed in 8 short years. She could still remember the terror of the night of her parent's murder; though Sylar had found his humanity, and personally apologized to her over what had happened, she would never feel comfortable in the presence of the former watch repairman. When the door to the small hidden closet opened she had been sure she was going to die just like her parents, but instead had been face with her first hero. When Matt picked her up she felt safe for the first time since that nightmare began, he was her hero and in that moment she loved him. When he saved her a second time she knew she wanted to stay with him forever. If he hadn't later slid into a father role to her he would likely be her first crush. He had to leave but being apart is what allowed her to meet her other hero, Mohinder. He had saved her from the virus that was making her sick and was keeping her from her hero. He saved her again when he gave her and her first hero a place to stay. She loved him like she loved Matt; again it was probably for the best that they became her parents in all but blood.
After Sylar came back and brought Maya with her and Matt was lost in the desert there was a lot of confusion and both her heroes were taken away from her, but she kept searching for them and eventually all three were brought back together. When she went back to school she could hear the whispers from the teachers, saying how her heroes wouldn't be able to keep her, how what they had could never work. It made her determined to prove them wrong. Even as their small family fought to stay together Mohinder was working with Peter and Nathan Petrelli to slowly bring all the heroes to light. By the time anyone realized what they were doing there were classes on how to block telepaths and people like Molly were being paid boatloads of money to help locate people. Laws were being drawn up to protect everyone and several diseases were being wiped out entirely. Through it all the three of them managed to stick together and were still going strong.
Molly sits cross legged on her bed; preparing to look in on her parents, like she always did when they were away. There is still a small part of her that is a scared eight year old, hiding in a wall and listening to her parents' murder. Her eyes went unfocused over a map of Hawaii, before she abruptly shook herself free with a blush covering her cheeks; she really should know better than to look in on her fathers' honeymoon.
