Story takes place at one of Orochimaru's lairs near the leaf. It has all of team hawk too. I know they don't show up till later in the manga/anime but it's a fanfic. The time of story is before and after July 23rd, Sasukes 16th birthday.
a/n
Sasuke was walking through the hall ways of the underground lair on his way back to his room, after talking with Orochimaru. Once he was back in his room he couldn't stop thinking about what Orochimaru had said.
Flash back
"Ssssss Sasuke-kun as I remember correctly your 16th birthday is in 3 days from now and I hope you don't that we will celebrate it". "Hn, we don't need to celebrate It". "It's just a waste of time, I would rather train" Sasuke said. "Aww that hurts Sasuke-kun, I just thought you might want to celebrate your last birthday". "Didn't you have celebrations when you were in the leaf with team 7? "Don't bring them up". "They're useless and annoying to me". Sasuke bit out harshly. Orochimaru smiled. "Really Sasuke you don't need to be so mean, they're in the past". "If it's not a bother then Sasuke we'll have a celebration but you can train all you want till the party". "You're dismissed" said Orochimaru with a wave of hid hand.
End of flash back
"I wonder what Orochimaru is planning". Sasuke thought to himself. "Whatever, I'll find out soon enough". "But why did he ask if I ever celebrate with my old team". Sigh. Sasuke lay back on his bed and went to sleep for the night.
Meanwhile back at the leaf village
Sakura was walking back home from the hospital. "Man, I'm so tired from my shift tonight and all that training I did with Tsunade-sama over the last couple of weeks". "I can't wait to get home and sleep".
Once Sakura was home and in the kitchen making Raman noodles for dinner. She happened to walk pass her calendar and see what day it was. "Wow I can't believe it's already the 20th". Sakura continued to look at the dates on the calendar and that the 23rd was circled. Sakura smiled sadly at the date. "Sasuke-kun…"
The timer went off in the kitchen pulling Sakura out of her thoughts. When she was done with her dinner, she went to her bedroom to change out of her ninja gear. When she got to her room she saw that her balcony door was open, and then suddenly she was hit in the back of her head. The last thing she saw was yellow eyes. "Damn…"Sakura thought. Then she slipped into unconsciousness while a pair of snakes slithered around her and picked her up.
