Skye laughed. He loved watching her laugh, she captivated him. Her blue eyes, crinkled with laughter reflected the Christmas lights that were strung around the park. The lights were part of a display, set up for the Holidays, which the young couple was strolling through. Jeffery watched her, and he buried his chin into the scarf around his neck and smiled behind it.
For the first time she noticed his staring at her, her eyes flicked over to meet his. "What are you staring at?" She shoved her hands deeper into her coat pockets.
"Oh, nothing," Jeffery laughed softly.
"No really, what are you looking at?"
"Just the beautiful young woman walking beside me." He smirked, gently bumping into her. Skye's face grew redder, and she lightly punched his arm.
"No seriously, what's over my shoulder."
"Nothing, I swear. I just never tired of looking at you." He reached down and took her hand out of her pocket and slipped it in with his own. She looked at him.
"When did you get so smooth?"Skye smiled rubbing her thumb along his hand. She took a step closer to him, his arm wrapped around her waist. Laughing, he kissed her temple, which was half covered by her hat. She smiled, softly and leaned into the arm that was wrapped around her waist. "You've changed since you began college. You've matured, a lot mentally, as well as," she paused, "physically."
"Physically?" He laughed.
"Yes, physically. You know with the height and the no longer being a twig, and the, you know, face."
"My face?"
"Yes, your face." She laughed, stopped walking, and faced him. "I like this part," Skye stood on her toes and kissed his forehead, "and this part," she kissed the tip of his nose, "and this part, this part is my favorite." She leaned in and kissed him full on the mouth. When they parted they stood in the silence of the park at night, just enjoying the sight of each other. All of a sudden, Skye looked up.
"What?"
"Snow." She whispered. Sure enough white crystals fell into from the sky to land on the couple.
"Merry Christmas, Jeffery."
"Merry Christmas, Skye."
Author's Note: Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it! I'm sorry this is so short, and that it doesn't have much of a plot. I thought I needed to update. Shoutout to PUCKABRINALOVER for providing me with some prompts when writers block was upon me! If anyone else has a prompt idea feel free to message me, I promise I'm friendly!
