The burly man jumps overboard and swims to shore. He picks himself up, and runs up a path to his left. He jumps over a few stumps, never flinching. He dos wonder why they were there, though.
He runs across a bridge, carefully avoiding broken planks. He make it into the forest, and rescues his captain from the clutches of some kid.
As he walks away with the female captain, she asks him, "Why in such a hurry to get here? I could handle it myself."
"Uh..." stammers the now red-faced first mate, "I could never take your place."
Contemplating his answer, she replies, "You're right... now get a move on and kill that bird!"
