Lost in the Rain
By Robin Wright
Author's Note: Please read and review. This is a poem from Malon's point of view, as she watches Link leave to go and battle Ganondorf.
******************
The rain pours down, my heart is flooded
By the pounding, drowning drone of water
My eyes are flooded, my heart is torn
As Link leaves the farm, and the lightening cackles
By the pounding, drowning drone of water
The tears run down my rosy face
As Link leaves the farm, and the lightening cackles
I weep for I know he might die
The tears run down my rosy face
And they sting my eyes, hang on my lashes
I weep for I know he might die
Then what would I do without him
And they sting my eyes, hang on my lashes
These tears I shed for my heroic love
Then what would I do without him
If my love Link were to die
These tears I shed for my heroic love
They are ripping my simple heart in two
If my love Link were to die
I think I might die too
They are ripping my simple heart in two
These cries that escape my throat
I think I might die too
For my heart is breaking as I stand here watching
These cries that escape my throat
It all becomes lost in the wind
For my heart is breaking as I stand here watching
My love may never return
It all becomes lost in the wind
As the rain pours down, my heart is flooded
My love may never return
And Link leaves the farm, as the lightening cackles
