Oliver sat in the back of the limo, staring out the window absently. "I could have driven my motorcycle home." A tone of annoyance in his voice.
"It was demolished in the accident, remember? Can't have you riding around on a demolished bike." Diggle asked a hint of a mischievous smile curled up in one corner of his mouth as he glanced in the rear view mirror.
Oliver turned, looking squarely at Diggle's reflection. "You didn't did you?"
"Don't worry you bike is fine and in storage at the warehouse. I haven't messed with any of your other toys either. They are right where you left them."
"Speaking of the warehouse," Oliver said. "Why are you going in the opposite direction?"
"Because the only way I got you out of the hospital is to promise that you would take it easy." Diggle glanced back in the mirror, eyebrow raised incredulously. "I'm not going have to worry about you trying to jump out of the limo, am I?"
Oliver took a deep breath while shifting in his seat, immediately it felt like hundreds of tiny little knifes were sticking into his side. "Not today" Oliver grimaced.
"Good." Diggle said satisfied, returning his eyes to the road.
"What makes you think that I won't sneak away once I get home?"
"You can try." Diggle answered.
"Even though I'm not at 100 percent I can still leave you in the dust."
"It's not me you're going to have to worry about." Diggle said. "Oliver, you might have forgotten how a family works. Your family has nearly lost you more than once since you miraculously returned from the dead. They care about you. I will be highly surprised if they let you out of their sight for quite a while."
The rest of the trip was completed in silence as Oliver was left to his thoughts.
Oliver groaned as he stood to get out of the car his muscles and bruised ribs screamed in protest.
Diggle opened the door and Oliver turned his head in surprise. "Mom, Thea, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in school, Speedy?"
"Nope." Thea answered walking over to Oliver. "Mom said I could stay home today and spend some time with my big brother. We are going to have a movie marathon. We can start out with the Goonies and finish with the Avengers. There is this character, Hawkeye, that I think you will like."
"Welcome, home." Moira smiled, carefully hugging her son before releasing him and taking a step back.
Hope you enjoyed! Feedback is welcome.
"Thanks, mom."
"Thank you for picking up Oliver, Mr. Diggle." Moira said. "We can take it from here."
Diggle glanced over at Oliver with a knowing smile before turning to exit.
Moira turned back to face her children. "So, how about I make you one of those chocolate peanut butter shakes you two always loved?"
"Thank you." Oliver answered, quickly adding. "Are you joining us for the trip down movie memory lane? I think I have a lot to catch up on."
"Well.."
"Come on, please for me." Oliver countered.
"Alright. Three milkshakes it is." Moira conceded.
"Yes!" Thea exclaimed. Pointing her finger at him she said. "I now have you all to myself and you aren't going anywhere."
