Earth's Mightiest…
A great city shakes
As explosions rattle and villains cackle
Evil is unbound, running free
Where is the good?
It comes in six parts.
A
First is the Captain
Standing tall in a flag
Determined to find a way in a strange new world.
Honor in his soul and a nation at his back
Stoic like the ice that formed a seventy year grave.
A
Next comes Iron Man darting in
His mind as sharp as his suits.
He seems chipper and gleeful
But he has an emotional mask too.
Everybody leaves eventually, who can blame them?
A
The Hulk is next, roaring in as Mr. Hyde
Dr. Jekyll waits behind a green tinted curtain.
His lab coat reads Banner before it gets shredded by hands too big.
He sees green, not red
You won't like him when he's angry.
A
Clouds gather as Thor rains down
His mighty hammer smiting enemies as he views them.
Beware the thunder and its ruler
For if your soul is dark
A flashing roar will be your last sight.
A
The Widow slips in gracefully
Her feet not making a sound.
History soaked in red, like her hair
Some walls are impossible to climb.
You won't know she was there until you're dead.
A
The archer waits silently
A hawk brooding in a nest
Sharp eyes show no fear, only patience
as he waits for a shot.
Perched high above, he soars away from other's traitorous glances.
A
These are Earth's six champions, the best of the best.
But heroes they are not.
They have spies and soldiers and shooters and scientists
But their golden souls are soaked in blood and darkness
Hidden behind camera flashes, shields, and glasses.
But they must keep fighting for the world they live in.
Because if they fall, who is left?
